Introduction

This instruction manual provides guidance for the installation and maintenance of the genuine Toro PowerClear 621 and 721 Snowblower Paddle and Scraper Kit. This kit includes two rotor blade paddles (part 99-9313) and one scraper blade (part 133-5585), designed to restore optimal performance to your Toro Power Clear snowblower.

Installation Instructions

Replacing the paddles and scraper bar can significantly improve your snowblower's performance. While the process is generally straightforward, some areas, particularly on the belt side, may require careful attention due to limited access to nuts and bolts.

1. Scraper Bar Installation

The scraper bar is located at the bottom front edge of the snowblower housing. It is typically secured with several bolts. Remove the old scraper bar by unfastening these bolts. Position the new scraper bar and secure it using the original hardware. Ensure it is tightly fastened to prevent movement during operation.

2. Rotor Paddle Installation

The rotor paddles are attached to the auger assembly. You will need to access the auger housing, which may involve removing covers or other components depending on your specific snowblower model. Carefully remove the worn paddles by unbolting them from the auger. Install the new paddles, ensuring they are correctly oriented and securely fastened. Pay close attention to the bolts on the belt side, as they can be challenging to reach.

Tip: Soaking rubber paddles in hot water for a few minutes can make them more pliable and easier to install, especially if the bolt holes are tight.

Operating with New Parts

After successful installation, your Toro Power Clear snowblower should exhibit improved snow-throwing capabilities and more efficient clearing. The new paddles and scraper bar ensure better contact with the ground and more effective propulsion of snow.

Maintenance

Regularly inspect the paddles and scraper bar for wear. Many Toro paddles have a wear indicator line; replace them when the rubber wears down to this line. Timely replacement ensures consistent performance and prevents damage to other snowblower components. Keep all fasteners tight.
