1. Product Overview

2. Setup and Installation

2.1 Attaching to PS4 Controller

The CHATBOOST is designed for a custom fit with your PS4 controller. To attach, align the Chatboost with the bottom of your PS4 controller and gently press until it clicks securely into place. Ensure the headset port and micro USB port on the Chatboost align with the corresponding ports on your controller.

2.2 Initial Charging

Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the CHATBOOST. Connect a micro USB cable to the charging port on the Chatboost. The initial charge may take approximately 7 hours. You can charge the device overnight while your PS4 is in rest mode or while using another controller.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Using the Keyboard

Once attached and connected, the CHATBOOST keyboard will become active. The keys are backlit with a blue glow, similar to the controller's light bar, for visibility in low-light conditions. Use your thumbs to type messages, enter text for online browsing, social media, or video platforms like YouTube. The keyboard allows for faster text entry compared to on-screen keyboards.

3.2 Headset Functionality

The CHATBOOST features an integrated headset port, allowing you to continue using your standard PS4 headset while the keyboard is attached. Simply plug your headset into the port on the Chatboost.

3.3 Power Bank Feature

The CHATBOOST includes a built-in 1500 mAh battery that can charge your PS4 controller. To activate the power bank feature, locate the power switch on the Chatboost and turn it ON. This will begin charging your controller, extending your gaming sessions without needing to connect your controller to a separate charging cable. The Chatboost can charge your controller up to two times, depending on usage.

4. Care and Maintenance

4.1 Charging the CHATBOOST

To recharge the CHATBOOST's internal battery, connect a standard micro USB cable to its charging port. The device can be charged while attached to the controller or separately.

4.2 Battery Care

To maximize the lifespan of the internal lithium battery, avoid completely draining it before recharging. Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

4.3 Cleaning

4.4 Attachment and Detachment

While the CHATBOOST provides a secure fit, frequent attachment and detachment may potentially cause wear or minor scratches to your controller over time. It is recommended to leave the Chatboost attached to a dedicated controller if you plan to use it regularly.

5. Troubleshooting

• Keyboard Unresponsive or Typing Errors: If the keyboard is unresponsive, types multiple letters, or skips letters, ensure it is securely attached to the controller and fully charged. If the issue persists, try detaching and reattaching the Chatboost.
• Charging Port Issues: If the micro USB charging port appears loose or is not charging the device, inspect the port for any visible damage or debris. Ensure the charging cable is fully inserted.
• Sound Only from Headset: If sound is only coming through the headset and not the TV, this may occur because the Chatboost's plug activates the PS4's headset detection. Adjust your PS4 audio settings to direct sound output to the TV if desired.
• Blocked Controller Speaker / PS Button Access: The design of the Chatboost may slightly cover the controller's speaker or make the PS button harder to press. This is a design characteristic and not a defect.
• Device Goes to Sleep Quickly: The Chatboost may enter a sleep mode to conserve battery. It should wake up and function normally upon key press. For applications requiring constant input (e.g., some MMORPGs), a full-sized Bluetooth keyboard might be more suitable.
• PlayStation Camera Microphone Disables: Plugging in the Chatboost may cause the PS4 to detect a headset, disabling the PlayStation Camera's microphone. To use the camera's microphone, you may need to detach the Chatboost or use a different controller.
