3. Setup
3.1. Surface Preparation
For optimal results, ensure that all surfaces where the gasket maker will be applied are clean and dry. Remove any old gasket material, grease, oil, or other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion.
4. Application Instructions
- Prepare Nozzle: Cut the nozzle to the desired bead size.
- Apply Gasket Maker: Apply a continuous bead of silicone, approximately 1/16" to 1/4" (2 to 6mm) thick, to one surface. Ensure the bead surrounds all bolt holes.
- Assemble Parts: Immediately assemble the parts while the silicone is still wet.
- Initial Tightening: Finger tighten the assembly until the material begins to squeeze out around the flange.

5. Curing and Finishing
- Initial Dry Time: Allow the gasket maker to dry for one hour.
- Final Tightening: After the initial dry time, tighten the assembly to the manufacturer's specified torque.
- Full Cure Time: Allow 24 hours for the gasket maker to fully cure before filling with fluids or returning the component to service.
