Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to correctly set up your Galcon 7001D Programmer and 1-inch Solenoid Valve.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the Galcon 7001D programmer unit and the 1-inch solenoid valve.
- Battery Installation: Open the battery compartment on the programmer unit. Insert two new 1.5V AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
- Connect to Water Source: The 1-inch solenoid valve has threaded connections. Connect the inlet side of the valve to your water tap or main water line. Ensure a tight, leak-free connection using appropriate sealing tape if necessary.
- Connect Irrigation Line: Connect your irrigation hose or pipe to the outlet side of the 1-inch solenoid valve.

Operating Instructions
The Galcon 7001D programmer allows for flexible irrigation scheduling. Use the buttons on the control panel to navigate and set your desired program.
- Mode Button: Press to cycle through programming modes: Set Clock, Start Time, Run Time, Frequency (Days), Auto, Manual, Off.
- +/- Buttons: Use to adjust values (time, duration, days) in programming modes.
- OK Button: Confirm selections and move to the next setting.
- Manual Button: Initiates a manual watering cycle. Press again to stop.
Setting the Clock
- Press the Mode button until "Set Clock" appears on the display.

- Winterization: Before the first frost, disconnect the programmer and valve from the water source. Drain any remaining water from the valve and store the unit in a dry, frost-free location.
- Filter Cleaning: Periodically check the filter screen (if present at the inlet) for debris and clean it to ensure optimal water flow.
