Introduction

The GPX PR047B is a compact and versatile 4GB digital voice recorder designed for clear audio capture. Setup

1. Battery Installation

The GPX PR047B requires two AAA batteries (not included) for operation. To install:

1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
2. Slide the cover open in the direction indicated by the arrow.
3. Insert two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as marked inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely until it clicks into place.

2. Initial Power On

After installing batteries, slide the HOLD switch on the side of the device to the OFF position (if it's in ON). The device should power on and the LCD screen will illuminate.

Operating Instructions

Recording Audio

1. Ensure the device is powered on.
2. Press the REC button (usually a red button or marked with a red dot) to begin recording. The recording indicator on the screen will activate.
3. To pause recording, press the REC button again. Press it once more to resume.
4. To stop recording, press the STOP button (often marked with a square symbol). The recorded file will be saved automatically.

Voice-Activated Recording (VOR)

The PR047B features a Voice-Activated Recording (VOR) function, which starts recording only when sound is detected and pauses when silence occurs, conserving memory.

1. While in stop mode, press the MODE button repeatedly until "VOR" or a similar indicator appears on the screen.
2. Press the REC button. The device will now enter VOR standby mode and begin recording automatically when sound is detected.
3. To exit VOR mode, press the STOP button.

Playback

1. In stop mode, use the VOL+ or VOL- buttons to navigate through recorded files.
2. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button (often marked with a triangle symbol) to start playback of the selected file.
3. Press PLAY/PAUSE again to pause playback.
4. To adjust volume during playback, use the VOL+ and VOL- buttons.
5. To stop playback, press the STOP button.

Connecting to a Computer

The PR047B can be connected to a PC or Mac to transfer recorded files.

1. Ensure the voice recorder is powered off.
2. Connect the device to your computer using a standard USB cable (not included, typically Mini-USB to USB-A). The USB port is usually located on the side or bottom of the recorder.
3. The recorder will appear as a removable disk drive on your computer.
4. Navigate to the appropriate folder (e.g., "VOICE" or "RECORD") to access your recorded MP3 files.
5. Drag and drop files to your computer to save them.
6. Safely eject the device from your computer before disconnecting the USB cable.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Handling: Avoid dropping the device or subjecting it to strong impacts, as this can damage internal components.
