Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of the Remco 2.0 GPM, 12 VDC Demand Pump, Model 3323-1E1-82B. This professional-grade diaphragm pump is designed for demanding applications such as agricultural and industrial chemical spraying, automotive fluid exchange, bulk fluid transfer, road maintenance, and dust suppression. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and operation.

Setup and Installation
1. Unpacking and Inspection
Upon receiving the pump, carefully inspect the packaging for any signs of damage. Remove the pump and all accessories from the packaging. Verify that all components are present and undamaged. If any damage or missing parts are found, contact your supplier immediately.
2. Mounting the Pump
The pump should be mounted in a secure, dry location, protected from direct weather exposure. The mounting feet are designed for stable installation. Ensure adequate ventilation around the motor to prevent overheating.

Figure 2: Bottom view of the pump, highlighting the mounting feet. These feet provide stability and allow for secure attachment to a flat surface.
3. Electrical Connection
This pump operates on 12 VDC. Connect the pump using the provided 6-inch length, 14 AWG wire leads with an SAE 2-pin connector. Ensure correct polarity: red wire to positive (+), black wire to negative (-). An inline fuse (not supplied) is recommended for circuit protection. The motor is not equipped with thermal protection; ensure the motor surface temperature does not exceed 150°F (66°C) for optimal performance and motor life.
4. Plumbing Connection
The pump features 3/8" FNPT (Female National Pipe Taper) fluid ports. Use appropriate fittings and hoses that are compatible with the fluids being pumped and can withstand the system pressure. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks, which can affect pump priming and performance.
Operating Instructions
1. Priming the Pump
The Remco 3300 series pump is self-priming up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) vertically. To prime, ensure the inlet line is submerged in the fluid and the outlet line is open or connected to a system that allows air to escape. Turn on the power; the pump will draw fluid and expel air until a steady flow is achieved.
2. Flow Rate and Pressure
This demand pump delivers a flow rate of 2.2 GPM (Gallons Per Minute) and operates with a pressure setting of 60 PSI (Pounds per Square Inch). The pump will automatically shut off when the outlet pressure reaches 60 PSI and restart when the pressure drops, indicating demand.
3. Duty Cycle and Fluid Compatibility
The pump is designed for intermittent duty cycles. While it can handle long and continuous duty cycles for agricultural spray applications, prolonged continuous operation at maximum pressure may lead to increased motor temperature. The materials of construction (Viton valves, Santoprene diaphragm) are chemically compatible with most common agricultural spray chemicals, including herbicides, fertilizers, and insecticides.

Maintenance
The Remco 3300 series pump features a completely sealed motor, reducing the need for internal maintenance. Regular external cleaning and inspection are recommended.
- Cleaning: Periodically clean the exterior of the pump with a damp cloth. Do not submerge the pump in water.
- Temperature Monitoring: While operating, ensure the motor surface temperature remains below 150°F (66°C). If the motor becomes excessively hot, allow it to cool before resuming operation.
- Fluid Temperature: The maximum liquid temperature the pump can handle is 140°F (60°C). Pumping fluids above this temperature can damage the pump.
- Dry Run Capability: The pump is capable of dry running without damage, but prolonged dry running is not recommended as it can lead to unnecessary wear.
- Leak Inspection: Regularly check all plumbing connections for leaks. Leaks can cause the pump to cycle unnecessarily or fail to prime.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump does not turn on. | No power, loose electrical connection, blown fuse. | Check power supply, verify connections, replace fuse if necessary. |
| Pump runs but does not prime or deliver fluid. | Air leak in inlet line, clogged inlet filter, insufficient fluid, pump not submerged. | Check all inlet connections for leaks, clean filter, ensure fluid source is adequate, ensure inlet line is fully submerged. |
| Low flow or pressure. | Partial blockage in lines, worn diaphragm/valves, low voltage. | Inspect and clear lines, check power supply voltage, contact service if internal components are suspected. |
| Pump cycles on and off rapidly. | Leak in outlet line, restricted flow, faulty pressure switch. | Check outlet connections for leaks, ensure no blockages in the discharge line, contact service if pressure switch is faulty. |
