- Prohibit more than one person on the upper bunk.
- Use the ladder for entering and leaving the upper bunk.
- Maximum total weight is not to exceed 300 lbs. on the upper bunk.

- Use of water or sleep flotation mattresses is prohibited.
- Use of a night light may provide added safety precaution for a child using the upper bunk.
- Follow the information on the warnings appearing on the upper bunk end structure and on the carton.

5. Operating Instructions
Once assembled, the loft bed is ready for use. Ensure all connections are tight and stable before allowing anyone to use the bed.
- Upper Bunk: Use a twin-sized mattress that meets the specified dimensions (74"-75" long, 37-1/2"-38-1/2" wide, and no more than 8" thick). Always use the ladder for entry and exit.
- Study Desk: The desk surface and keyboard tray are designed for computer use, studying, or other activities. The suspended shelf provides additional storage for books or supplies.
- Weight Capacity: The upper bunk has a maximum weight capacity of 300 lbs. Do not exceed this limit.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and safety of your loft bed.
- Cleaning: Wipe the metal frame with a damp cloth, then dry thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Inspections: Periodically (e.g., monthly) check all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten as necessary. Inspect the guardrails, ladder, and all structural components for any signs of damage, wear, or loose parts.
- Mattress Care: Follow the manufacturer's guidelines for mattress care.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your loft bed, refer to the following common solutions:
- Wobbling or Instability: Ensure all bolts and connections are fully tightened. Check that the bed is placed on a level surface. Adjust the levelers at the bottom of the end frames if needed.
- Squeaking Noises: Squeaking often indicates loose connections. Re-tighten all bolts. Applying a small amount of lubricant (e.g., silicone spray) to metal-on-metal contact points can also help.
- Difficulty with Assembly: Review the assembly instructions and video carefully. Ensure all parts are correctly oriented and that you are using the correct hardware for each step. Do not force parts together.
- Damaged or Missing Parts: If you received damaged or missing parts, contact Powell customer service immediately for assistance. Do not attempt to use substitute parts.
