- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the heating unit in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.

- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to “off,” then remove plug from wall outlet.

- Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water.
- Place the rice cooker on a stable, heat-resistant, and dry surface.
- Ensure the inner pot is properly seated inside the cooker base before adding ingredients.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Cooking Rice
- Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of uncooked rice. The cooker has a 5-cup uncooked capacity, yielding up to 10 cups of cooked rice.
- Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps remove excess starch.
- Place the rinsed rice into the nonstick inner pot.
- Add the appropriate amount of water. A general guideline is 1.5 to 2 cups of water per 1 cup of uncooked rice, but always refer to the rice packaging for specific ratios. The inner pot has water level markings for convenience.
- Add a pinch of salt or other seasonings if desired.
- Place the inner pot into the rice cooker base.
- Cover the pot with the tempered glass lid, ensuring it is seated properly.
- Plug the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet. The 'WARM' indicator light may illuminate.
- Press the 'COOK' switch down. The 'COOK' indicator light will illuminate, indicating that cooking has begun.
- Once the rice is cooked, the cooker will automatically switch to the 'WARM' setting, and the 'WARM' indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow the rice to rest on the 'WARM' setting for 5-10 minutes before serving. This allows the rice to firm up and absorb any remaining moisture.
- Use the provided serving spatula to fluff and serve the rice.

5.2 Cooking Other Grains and Dishes
This multipurpose cooker can also be used for oatmeal, stew, jambalaya, and other grains. Adjust water ratios and cooking times according to the specific recipe or grain type. The automatic 'COOK' to 'WARM' function will still apply.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
- Always unplug the rice cooker from the electrical outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove the inner pot and glass lid. Wash them with warm, soapy water using a soft sponge or cloth. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
- The inner pot has a nonstick coating. To preserve its integrity, avoid using abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or metal utensils, which can scratch the surface.
- Wipe the exterior of the rice cooker base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the base in water or any other liquid.
- Clean the measuring cup and serving spatula with warm, soapy water.
- Ensure all parts are dry before reassembling or storing the appliance.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your rice cooker, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Rice is too hard or undercooked: Ensure the correct water-to-rice ratio was used. Add a small amount of extra water and cook for a few more minutes if necessary.
- Rice is too soft or mushy: Reduce the water-to-rice ratio for future cooking. Avoid opening the lid during cooking, as this releases steam and affects the cooking process.
- Rice sticks to the bottom: Ensure the nonstick coating is intact. For best results, lightly grease the inner pot with cooking oil or butter before adding rice and water.
- Cooker does not turn on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into both the cooker and a working electrical outlet. Ensure the 'COOK' switch is pressed down.
- Water or steam leaks from lid: Ensure the lid is properly seated. The steam vent is designed to release excess steam; some condensation is normal.
