3. Setup
3.1 Battery Installation

- Place the battery into the compartment and close the cover securely.

3.2 Power Connection
For continuous use, connect a 9V DC power adapter (not included) to the DC IN 9V port on the side of the unit. Ensure the adapter's polarity matches the diagram next to the port.

3.3 External Connections
- Phone Output: Connect headphones to the 'Phone' jack for private practice.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Power On/Off
Slide the ON/OFF switch located on the side of the unit to turn the metronome on or off.
4.2 Setting Tempo (BPM)
- Tempo Knobs: Use the 'Tempo Up' and 'Tempo Down' rotary knobs to precisely adjust the beats per minute (BPM).
- Tap Tempo: Press the large 'Start/Tap' button repeatedly at your desired tempo. The unit will calculate and set the BPM based on your taps.
4.3 Selecting Rhythms and Beats
- Beat Button: Press the 'Beat' button to cycle through different beat divisions (e.g., 1/4, 2/4, 3/4, 4/4).
- Mode Button: Press the 'Mode' button to select various rhythmic patterns and styles. Refer to the display for current selection.
4.4 Using the Timer Function
