Operating Instructions
- Prepare Document: Ensure your document is clean, flat, and free of wrinkles. The LS1000 can laminate items up to 12 inches wide.
- Insert Document: Carefully feed the leading edge of your document into the input slot at the front of the dispenser. Ensure it is centered and straight.
- Begin Lamination: Turn the crank handle on the side of the dispenser clockwise at a steady, even pace. The document will be pulled through the laminator, and the film will be applied.
- Retrieve Laminated Document: Continue turning the crank until the entire document has passed through the laminator and emerges from the output slot.
- Trim (Optional): If desired, use scissors or a paper trimmer to trim any excess laminating film around the edges of your document, leaving a small border for best seal.
Note: For best results, avoid stopping and starting the crank during lamination. Maintain a consistent speed.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the exterior of the dispenser with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Film Cartridge Replacement: When a film cartridge is empty, open the top cover and remove the used cartridge. Dispose of it properly and insert a new Scotch DL1001 dual laminating film cartridge as described in the Setup section.
- Storage: Store the laminating dispenser in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
