5. Setup

5.1 Battery Installation

The device requires 1 AAA battery for operation. Open the battery compartment on both the Transmitter and Receiver units, insert the battery according to the polarity indicators, and close the compartment securely.

5.2 Connecting Test Leads

Connect the black and red test leads to the corresponding input jacks on the Transmitter. Attach the test probes or crocodile clamps to the ends of the test leads as required for your application.

4. Select Code: Use the 'CODE SEL' buttons on the Transmitter to choose a unique signal code. This is useful when multiple transmitters are in use to avoid interference.
5. Activate Transmitter: Press 'START/STOP' on the Transmitter to begin signal transmission.

• Locating Fuses and Safeguards: Apply the Transmitter signal to the circuit. Use the Receiver to identify the specific fuse or safeguard that corresponds to the traced line.
• Finding Sockets or Junction Boxes: Similar to cable tracking, the Receiver can help pinpoint the location of concealed sockets or junction boxes.
• Tracking Metal Conduits: The device can track metal conduits in water or heating projects.
