Setup and Installation

1. Mounting: The G33 Magnifier is designed to be mounted directly behind your EOTECH Holographic Weapon Sight (HWS). Ensure your HWS is securely mounted and zeroed before installing the magnifier.
2. Positioning: Place the G33's Switch-to-Side (STS) mount onto your Picatinny rail directly behind the HWS. Ensure proper eye relief for comfortable viewing.
3. Securing: Tighten the mount's locking mechanism securely to the rail. Refer to the mount's specific instructions for torque specifications if available.
4. Initial Alignment: With the magnifier in the operational position (behind the HWS), look through both devices. The HWS reticle should be centered within the magnifier's field of view.
5. Diopter Adjustment: Rotate the diopter adjustment ring (located at the eyepiece) until the reticle appears sharp and clear to your eye. This adjustment compensates for individual vision differences.
6. Vertical and Horizontal Adjustment: Use the tool-free adjustment knobs on the top and side of the magnifier to fine-tune the alignment of the HWS reticle within the magnifier's field of view. Adjust until the reticle is perfectly centered. These adjustments do not affect the HWS's zero.

Operating Instructions

• Engaging Magnification: To engage the 3X magnification, simply push the G33 Magnifier forward until it locks into place directly behind your HWS.
• Disengaging Magnification (Switch-to-Side): To quickly switch to 1X (unmagnified) viewing, grasp the magnifier and pivot it to the side. The STS mount allows the magnifier to swing out of the line of sight, providing an unobstructed view through the HWS.
• Diopter Adjustment: As needed, re-adjust the diopter ring for optimal reticle clarity. This is a personal preference adjustment and does not require tools.
• Compatibility: The G33 Magnifier is fully compatible with EOTECH HWS models 518, 558, and EXPS, especially those with side-button interfaces, allowing for easy operation of the HWS even with the magnifier engaged.

Maintenance

• Cleaning Lenses: Use a soft, lint-free cloth and lens cleaning solution specifically designed for optics. Gently wipe the lens surfaces to remove dust, dirt, or smudges. Avoid using abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
• Cleaning Body: Wipe the exterior of the magnifier with a damp cloth to remove dirt. Do not use solvents or harsh cleaners.
• Storage: Store the magnifier in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a protective cover or case when not in use to prevent scratches and damage.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the mount and all moving parts for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure all screws and fasteners are secure.

Troubleshooting

• Reticle Not Centered:

  Use the vertical and horizontal adjustment knobs on the magnifier to center the HWS reticle within the magnifier's field of view. These adjustments are for alignment only and do not affect the HWS's zero.

• Blurry Reticle/Image:

  Adjust the diopter ring on the eyepiece of the magnifier until the reticle and image appear sharp and clear to your eye. This compensates for individual vision differences.

• Magnifier Not Locking Securely:

  Ensure the mount is properly seated on the Picatinny rail and the locking mechanism is fully engaged. Check for any obstructions or debris preventing a secure lock.

• Difficulty Switching to Side:

  Ensure the STS mount is clean and free of debris. A small amount of lubricant on the pivot points may help, but consult EOTECH's official guidelines before applying any lubricants.
