Setup Guide

1. Charging the Devices

Before first use, fully charge both the remote transmitter and the collar receiver for approximately 2 hours. Use the provided USB charging cable. The devices can be charged simultaneously.

Important: Do not charge the product in high-temperature environments.

2. Fitting the Collar Receiver

Proper fit of the collar receiver is crucial for effective operation and your dog's comfort. The contact points must have direct contact with your dog's skin. Choose the appropriate contact points (short or long) based on your dog's coat length.

• Ensure the collar is snug, but not too tight. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar strap and your dog's neck.
• Position the receiver unit centrally on your dog's throat, with the contact points underneath.
• Regularly check the fit to prevent pressure sores. Do not leave the collar on for more than 12 hours per day.

Operating Instructions

Training Modes

The Petrainer PET916 offers three distinct training modes to suit various training needs and dog temperaments. Use the 'Mode' button on the remote to cycle through them.

1. Beep Mode: Produces an audible tone. This is often used as an initial warning or for positive reinforcement. It has a standard, non-adjustable tone.
2. Vibration Mode: Delivers a non-harmful vibration. This mode has 0-100 adjustable levels, allowing for precise control over the intensity. It's effective for attention-grabbing without static stimulation.
3. Static Shock Mode: Provides a static stimulation. This mode also has 0-100 adjustable levels. It should be used cautiously and at the lowest effective level, typically for more stubborn behaviors or as a last resort. Always test the static level on your arm before applying to your dog.

Adjusting Intensity Levels

For Vibration and Static Shock modes, use the Up/Down buttons on the remote to select an intensity level from 0 to 100. Start at the lowest level and gradually increase until your dog responds. The goal is to get your dog's attention, not to cause pain.

Remote Range and Waterproof Feature

The remote control has a range of up to 330 yards (approximately 1000 feet), allowing for training in various environments, including open fields. The collar receiver is 100% waterproof (IPX7 rated), meaning your dog can wear it while swimming or playing in water without damage.

Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe down the remote and collar receiver with a damp cloth regularly. Avoid harsh chemicals.
• Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the devices frequently. Recharge when the battery indicator is low. Store in a cool, dry place if not used for extended periods.
• Contact Points: Periodically check the contact points for corrosion or damage. Ensure they are clean and free of debris.
• Strap Inspection: Inspect the TPU strap for wear and tear. Replace if damaged to ensure secure fit.
