The system consists of two main components:

5. Setup

5.1. Transmitter Battery Installation

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the transmitter unit.
  2. Insert one 3V Lithium CR 2032 battery, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment securely. The battery life is up to 2 years.

5.2. Receiver Placement and Charging

  1. Plug the receiver into a standard power outlet within the desired range (up to 100 meters from the transmitter).
  2. The integrated NiMH battery will begin charging automatically. The receiver can be used while charging.
  3. For mobile use, simply unplug the receiver. The integrated battery allows for portable operation.

5.3. Pairing (Automatic Learning Code)

The system features an automatic learning code function. Typically, the transmitter and receiver are pre-paired at the factory. If pairing is lost or you are adding new components, follow the instructions provided with the specific expansion units. For initial setup, simply install the battery in the transmitter and plug in the receiver; they should connect automatically.

5.4. Connection to Existing Doorbell Installation (Optional)

The receiver can be connected to an existing house bell installation (6-8 volt DC or AC voltage). Refer to the detailed wiring diagram in the separate technical appendix or consult a qualified electrician for this advanced setup.

6. Operating

6.1. Ringing the Doorbell

Press the button on the transmitter unit. The receiver will play the selected melody and activate the optical signal.

6.2. Melody Selection

The receiver offers 8 selectable melodies in CD quality. Use the melody selection button (refer to the receiver's markings) to cycle through the available tunes until you find your preferred one.

6.3. Volume Adjustment

The volume can be adjusted individually using the potentiometer (Poti) on the receiver. There is also a 2-step volume adjustment or an option for signal light only, ideal for quiet environments or for the hard of hearing.

6.4. Optical Display Function

In addition to the melody, the receiver provides an optical signal (flashing light) for approximately 10 seconds when the doorbell is pressed. This feature is particularly useful in noisy environments or for individuals with hearing impairments, ensuring they are alerted to visitors.

6.5. Mobile Use

Thanks to the integrated NiMH battery and charger, the receiver can be used portably. Simply unplug it from the power outlet, and it will continue to function on battery power. The plug can be folded for convenience during mobile use.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Transmitter Battery Replacement

When the transmitter's signal weakens or stops working, it's time to replace the 3V Lithium CR 2032 battery. Follow the steps in Section 5.1.

7.2. Receiver Battery Care

The receiver's built-in NiMH battery is designed for long life. To maintain its performance, periodically allow the battery to fully discharge before recharging it by plugging the receiver back into a power outlet.

7.3. Cleaning

Clean the units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong chemicals, as these can damage the surfaces.
