Operating Instructions
Mixer Controls Overview
The PPA2000BT mixer features 8 channels, including 4 microphone/line inputs and 2 stereo line inputs, along with dedicated controls for each. It also includes a master section with effects, equalization, and overall volume control.

Figure 4: Detailed view of the PPA2000BT mixer control panel.
Input Channels (Microphone/Line)
Channels 1-4 are equipped with combination XLR/1/4" TRS inputs, suitable for microphones or line-level instruments. Adjust the GAIN control for each channel to achieve an optimal input level, ensuring the CLIP LED does not illuminate frequently. Use the TREBLE and BASS controls to adjust the tone of each input. The FX control sends a portion of the signal to the internal effects processor.
Stereo Line Inputs
Channels 5/6 and 7/8 are stereo line inputs, ideal for connecting devices like keyboards, CD players, or other audio sources using 1/4" TRS cables or RCA connectors. Adjust their respective volume controls as needed.
Bluetooth Connectivity
The PPA2000BT features integrated Bluetooth for wireless audio streaming. To pair a device:
- Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone or other compatible device.
- Press the BLUETOOTH button on the mixer. The Bluetooth indicator will flash, indicating pairing mode.
- Select "BEHRINGER PPA2000BT" from the list of available devices on your audio source.
- Once paired, the indicator will glow solid, and you can stream audio wirelessly. Adjust the Bluetooth volume control on the mixer.
Effects Processor
The built-in effects processor offers various digital effects such as reverb, chorus, and flanger. Use the FX SELECT knob to choose an effect and the FX LEVEL control to adjust the overall wet/dry mix of the effects. Individual channel FX controls determine how much of that channel's signal is sent to the effects processor.
Equalization
The PPA2000BT includes a 7-band graphic equalizer to fine-tune the overall sound of your mix. Adjust the sliders to boost or cut specific frequency ranges to suit your acoustic environment or musical preference.

Master Volume Control
The MASTER VOLUME knob controls the overall output level of the entire PA system. Gradually increase this control after setting individual channel levels to avoid sudden loud sounds.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your PPA2000BT system.
- Cleaning: Disconnect the power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the exterior surfaces of the mixer and speakers. Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or abrasive materials, as they may damage the finish or internal components.
- Storage: When not in use, store the system in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. It is recommended to use the original packaging or a protective case for storage and transport to prevent physical damage.
- Ventilation: Ensure that the ventilation openings on the mixer unit are kept clear of dust and debris to prevent overheating.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your PPA2000BT, refer to the table below for common problems and their solutions.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No power | Power cord not connected; Power switch off; Faulty outlet/fuse. | Ensure power cord is securely connected and plugged into a live outlet. Check the power switch. Test the outlet with another device or check the circuit breaker. |
| No sound from speakers | Speaker cables disconnected; Master volume too low; Individual channel volume too low; Input source not connected or muted. | Verify speaker cable connections. Increase MASTER VOLUME. Increase individual channel volume. Check input source connection and ensure it's playing audio. |
| Distorted sound | Input gain too high; Master volume too high; Speaker impedance mismatch (unlikely with included speakers). | Reduce individual channel GAIN. Reduce MASTER VOLUME. Ensure CLIP LEDs are not constantly lit. |
| Bluetooth connection issues | Device not in pairing mode; Out of range; Interference. | Ensure PPA2000BT is in Bluetooth pairing mode (flashing LED). Move device closer to the mixer. Minimize other wireless devices nearby. Try re-pairing the device. |
