Setup and Installation
Location
Place the refrigerator on a flat, solid surface strong enough to support the unit when fully loaded. Allow at least 5 inches of space between the back and sides of the refrigerator and any adjacent walls or objects to ensure proper air circulation.
Leveling
Adjust the leveling legs at the bottom of the unit to ensure the refrigerator is stable and level. This is crucial for efficient operation and proper door closure.
Electrical Connection
Plug the refrigerator into a dedicated, grounded 120V AC outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapter plugs. Ensure the power cord is not pinched or damaged.
Initial Use
Before placing food inside, allow the refrigerator to operate for at least 2-3 hours to reach its optimal cooling temperature.
Operating Instructions
Temperature Control
The refrigerator features a manual temperature control dial, typically located inside the unit. Turn the dial to adjust the cooling intensity. Higher numbers usually indicate colder temperatures. Start with a medium setting and adjust as needed.
Freezer Compartment
The half-width freezer compartment is suitable for making ice cubes and storing small frozen items. An ice cube tray is included.
Door Storage
The door shelves are designed to accommodate various items, including 2-liter bottles and tall bottles, as well as smaller items on the half-width shelf.
Maintenance and Care
Cleaning
Unplug the refrigerator before cleaning. Clean the interior and exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals. Regularly wipe down the door gasket to ensure a tight seal.
Manual Defrost
This refrigerator features manual defrost. When frost accumulates to about 1/4 inch thick in the freezer compartment, it's time to defrost. Unplug the unit, remove all contents, and allow the frost to melt naturally. You can place towels at the bottom to absorb water. Do not use sharp objects to remove ice.
Power Outage
In case of a power outage, keep the refrigerator door closed to maintain the internal temperature for as long as possible. Avoid opening the door unnecessarily.
