Setup and Installation
The Front Runner Cargo Storage Interior Rack features an easy, no-drill installation process for 2011+ Jeep Wrangler JKU models. Follow these steps carefully:
- Prepare Vehicle: Ensure the rear cargo area of your Jeep Wrangler JKU is clear of obstructions. It is recommended to remove any existing cargo mats or liners temporarily.
- Assemble Rack Frame: Connect the aluminum tray sections to the steel support brackets using the provided hardware. Refer to Figure 2 for an example of the assembled rack components. Ensure all bolts are finger-tight at this stage.
- Position Rack: Carefully place the assembled rack into the rear cargo area of your Jeep. Position it to align with the designated mounting points.
- Secure Mounting Brackets: Attach the steel support brackets to the vehicle's interior structure using the U-bolts and other specified hardware. Figure 3 shows a close-up of a mounting bracket. Ensure all connections are secure but do not overtighten yet.
- Final Tightening: Once the rack is properly aligned and all mounting points are engaged, progressively tighten all bolts and U-bolts. Ensure the rack is stable and does not wobble.
- Visual Confirmation: Inspect the installed rack to confirm it is level and securely fastened. Refer to Figure 4 and Figure 5 for examples of a correctly installed rack.

Operating Instructions
The Front Runner Cargo Storage Interior Rack is designed to maximize your vehicle's storage capacity and secure your gear.
- Cargo Placement: Utilize the space above and below the rack. The design allows for a standard-sized vehicle refrigerator to be placed underneath the rack, as shown in Figure 6.
- Securing Cargo: The rack features bolt-on T-slots and an outer rail system. Use appropriate tie-downs, straps, or cargo nets (not included) to secure items to the top or bottom of the rack. This prevents movement and rattling during transit.
- Weight Distribution: Distribute weight evenly across the rack to maintain vehicle stability. Do not exceed the manufacturer's recommended weight capacity for the rack or your vehicle's interior cargo limits.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and safe operation of your cargo rack.
- Periodic Inspection: Regularly check all mounting hardware (bolts, nuts, U-bolts) for tightness. Vibrations from driving can cause fasteners to loosen over time. Tighten as necessary.
- Cleaning: Clean the rack with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
- Corrosion Prevention: While the steel components are black-coated, inspect for any signs of rust, especially in areas exposed to moisture or road salt. Touch up any chips or scratches in the paint to prevent corrosion.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your cargo rack, consider the following common solutions:
- Rattling Noise: Check all mounting bolts and cargo securing points. Loose fasteners or unsecured cargo are common causes of rattling. Ensure all items on the rack are properly tied down.
- Rack Appears Uneven: Re-check the installation steps, ensuring the rack is correctly aligned and all mounting points are engaged. Loosen fasteners, adjust, and re-tighten.
- Difficulty Securing Cargo: Ensure you are using appropriate tie-downs that are compatible with the rack's T-slots and outer rails.
