Front Panel

  • Power Indicator: Illuminates when the device is powered on.
  • AUTO Indicator: Illuminates when the auto-switch function is active.
  • IR Receiver: Receives signals from the IR remote control.
  • OUT Indicator: Illuminates when the HDMI output is active.
  • IN1-IN4 Indicators: Illuminates to show which HDMI input is currently selected.

5. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to set up your J-Tech Digital HDMI Switch:

  1. Connect HDMI Sources: Connect up to four HDMI source devices (e.g., Xbox, Laptop, Blu-ray Player, DVD Player) to the HDMI IN1, IN2, IN3, and IN4 ports on the rear panel of the switch using HDMI cables.
  2. Connect HDMI Display: Connect your UHD TV or other HDMI display to the HDMI OUT port on the rear panel of the switch using an HDMI cable.
  3. Connect Power: Connect the provided 5V/1A DC power adapter to the 5V Power Supply Port on the rear panel of the switch, then plug the adapter into a power outlet. The Power indicator on the front panel will illuminate.
  4. Power On Devices: Power on all connected HDMI source devices and your HDMI display.
  5. Select Input: The switch will automatically select an active input if the auto-switch function is enabled. Otherwise, use the SW button on the front panel or the IR remote control to select the desired input.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Input Switching

You can switch between HDMI inputs using two methods:

  • Manual Switching: Press the SW button on the front panel of the switch to cycle through the connected HDMI inputs (IN1, IN2, IN3, IN4).
  • Remote Control Switching: Use the IR remote control to directly select an input by pressing the corresponding number button (IN1, IN2, IN3, IN4).

6.2 Auto Switch Function

The auto-switch function can be enabled or disabled to suit your preferences:

  • When the auto-switch function is ON, the device will automatically switch to the most recently connected or powered-up source. The AUTO indicator on the front panel will be lit.
  • When the auto-switch function is OFF, the device will remain fixed on the currently selected source, requiring manual switching.
  • To toggle the auto-switch function, press the AUTO button on the IR remote control.

6.3 Picture-in-Picture (PIP) Mode

The PIP feature allows you to view a main HDMI input while simultaneously displaying smaller preview windows of other connected inputs. This function supports resolutions up to 1080P/720P.

  1. Ensure multiple HDMI sources are connected and active.
  2. Press the PIP button on the IR remote control to activate PIP mode. The main display will show the currently selected input, and smaller windows will appear for other active inputs.
  3. Use the SEL (Select) button on the remote to cycle through the smaller sub-display windows, changing which input is shown in the preview.
  4. Press the Enter button on the remote to switch the main display to the input currently highlighted in a sub-display window.
  5. To exit PIP mode, press the PIP button again.

6.4 IR Remote Control

The IR remote control provides full functionality for the HDMI switch. Ensure there is a clear line of sight between the remote and the IR receiver on the front panel of the switch.

To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your J-Tech Digital HDMI Switch, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Keep the device in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and moisture.
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the switch.
  • Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners.
  • Ensure all cables are securely connected to prevent signal loss or intermittent issues.
  • If the device will not be used for an extended period, disconnect the power adapter.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your HDMI switch, refer to the following troubleshooting tips:

  • Check all HDMI cable connections.
  • Ensure the correct input is selected on the switch and the display.
