Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert the 4 AAA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -) as indicated inside the compartment.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Scale Placement

For accurate readings, place the Detecto SlimPro scale on a hard, flat, and level surface. Avoid placing it on carpets, rugs, or uneven flooring, as this can lead to inaccurate measurements.

Operating Instructions

1. Initializing the Scale

After battery installation, the scale will automatically turn on when stepped upon. For the first use or after moving the scale, it is recommended to initialize it:

1. Gently tap the center of the scale with your foot to activate the display.
2. Wait for the display to show "0.0" or "0.00".
3. The scale is now ready for use.

2. Taking a Measurement

1. Ensure the scale is on a hard, flat surface and displays "0.0".
2. Step onto the center of the scale platform with bare, dry feet. Stand still and distribute your weight evenly.
3. The display will show your weight. The reading will flash or stabilize to indicate the final measurement.
4. Step off the scale. The scale will automatically turn off after a few seconds to conserve battery life.

3. Changing Weight Units (lb/kg)

The Detecto SlimPro scale can display weight in pounds (lb) or kilograms (kg).

1. With the scale displaying "0.0" or after a measurement, locate the "UNIT" button near the display.
2. Press the "UNIT" button to toggle between "lb" and "kg". The selected unit will be indicated on the display.
3. The scale will retain the last selected unit for future measurements.

Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning: Wipe the scale surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use chemical cleaning agents or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish and electronic components.
