2. Important Safeguards
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury, basic safety precautions should always be followed when using electrical appliances:

4. Setup and Assembly
Before first use, wash the mixing bowl and all attachments in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. The bowl and attachments are dishwasher safe.
4.1 Attaching the Mixing Bowl
- Place the stand mixer base on a stable, flat surface.
- Ensure the hand mixer unit is securely locked into the stand base.
- Place the 4-quart stainless steel bowl onto the turntable of the stand base. Ensure it sits flat and is centered.
4.2 Attaching and Removing Beaters/Attachments
- Ensure the mixer is unplugged from the power outlet.
- Press the release button located at the back of the hand mixer unit to tilt the mixer head upwards.
- Insert the desired attachments (beaters, dough hooks, or whisk) into the openings on the underside of the hand mixer unit. Push firmly until they click into place.
- To remove attachments, ensure the mixer head is tilted upwards. Press the eject button (usually located near the speed control) and pull the attachments out.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Using as a Stand Mixer
For hands-free mixing, use the unit in its stand mixer configuration. This is ideal for larger batches or thicker mixtures like cookie dough and bread dough.
- Ensure the hand mixer unit is securely attached to the stand base and the mixing bowl is in place with attachments inserted.
- Add your ingredients to the 4-quart stainless steel bowl.
- Plug the mixer into a standard electrical outlet.
- Select the desired speed using the speed control dial (1-6). Start with a lower speed and gradually increase as needed.
- Utilize the QuickBurst™ button for an extra surge of power at any speed, useful for breaking up clumps or achieving a smoother consistency.
- Use the Shift & Stir™ lever located on the base to move the bowl from side-to-side during mixing. This ensures all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated, reducing the need to scrape the sides manually.
- When finished, turn the speed dial to "0" and unplug the mixer.

5.2 Using as a Hand Mixer
For smaller tasks or when you need to move around the kitchen, the hand mixer detaches from the stand base.
- Ensure the mixer is unplugged.
- Press the release button on the side of the hand mixer unit (marked with a mixer icon) to detach it from the stand base.
- You can now use the hand mixer independently with any suitable mixing bowl.
- To reattach, align the hand mixer with the stand base and push down firmly until it clicks securely into place.
