Introduction
The ANTOP TSR-01 Safer Socket is an electrical safety device designed to protect against electrical fires. This unique device utilizes patent-pending technology to monitor the temperature of an appliance plug, automatically shutting off power if an unsafe temperature rise is detected. It requires no complex wiring or special installation, plugging directly into an existing electrical outlet.
Setup
Unpack the Safer Socket: Carefully remove the Safer Socket from its packaging.
Select an Outlet: Choose a standard 3-prong wall outlet. The Safer Socket is designed to be plugged directly into a wall outlet. Do not use with power strips, surge protectors, or 2-prong adapters.
Plug in the Safer Socket: Insert the Safer Socket firmly into the chosen wall outlet. Ensure it is securely seated.

Connect Your Appliance: Plug the electrical appliance you wish to protect into the Safer Socket. Ensure the appliance plug is fully inserted.
Operating Instructions
Once plugged in, the Safer Socket continuously monitors the temperature of the appliance plug. Five tiny thermostats inside the unit detect any rise in temperature.
Normal Operation: When the appliance plug is operating at a safe temperature, the LED status light on the Safer Socket will glow green.
Overheat Detection: Should the plug temperature rise to an unsafe level, the Safer Socket will automatically shut off power to the connected device. The LED status light will turn red to indicate an overheat and shutoff event.
Resetting the Safer Socket: After an overheat event, allow the outlet and the Safer Socket to cool down. To reset, simply unplug the Safer Socket from the wall outlet, wait a few moments, and then plug it back in. The green LED should illuminate, indicating it is ready for use again.
Maintenance
Cleaning: Keep the Safer Socket clean and free from dust. Wipe with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or immerse in water.
Inspection: Periodically inspect the Safer Socket and its connected appliance for any signs of damage, such as frayed wires, cracked casings, or discoloration. If damage is found, discontinue use and replace the unit.
Ventilation: Ensure the Safer Socket and the appliance plug area have adequate ventilation. Do not cover the unit or block airflow around it.
Troubleshooting
Safer Socket repeatedly shuts off (Red LED):
- This indicates the connected appliance's plug is overheating.
- Ensure the Safer Socket is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a power strip or extension cord.
- If using a high-wattage appliance like a space heater, ensure only one such appliance is plugged into the Safer Socket at a time.
- If the issue persists, there may be an underlying problem with your electrical wiring or the appliance itself. Consult a qualified electrician or consider replacing the appliance.
No LED light:
- Check if the Safer Socket is firmly plugged into the wall outlet.
- Verify that the wall outlet is functional by plugging in another device.
- If the unit remains unresponsive, it may be faulty and require replacement.
