Before First Use

Assembly
The George Foreman Evolve Grill System features interchangeable plates. To install or remove plates:
- Ensure the grill is unplugged and completely cool.
- To remove a plate, locate the plate release levers on the side of the grill. Press the lever firmly and lift the plate away from the heating element.
- To install a plate, align the plate's tabs with the slots on the grill base. Press down firmly until the plate clicks into place. Repeat for the other plate.

Operating Instructions
General Operation:
- Plug the grill into a standard electrical outlet. The digital display will illuminate.
- Press the POWER button to turn on the grill.
- Use the TEMP up/down arrows to select your desired cooking temperature (300-425°F).
- The grill will preheat. The temperature display will flash until the selected temperature is reached.
- Once preheated, place food on the cooking plates and close the lid.
- Use the TIMER up/down arrows to set the desired cooking time (up to 20 minutes).
- When cooking is complete, press the POWER button to turn off the grill and unplug it.
Grilling & Panini Pressing:
For grilling meats, vegetables, or pressing paninis, use the ceramic grill plates. Set the desired temperature and allow the grill to preheat. Cook food according to recipe or desired doneness.

Waffle Making:
Install the nonstick waffle plates. Set the temperature to 400°F (204°C) and preheat. Pour waffle batter onto the bottom plate, close the lid, and cook for approximately 5-8 minutes, or until golden brown.

Using the 500°F Searing Function:
After setting your desired cooking temperature and preheating, press the SEAR button. The grill will temporarily increase its temperature to 500°F for 60 seconds to create a seared crust on your food. After 60 seconds, it will return to the previously set temperature.
Adjusting the Cooking Angle:
For traditional fat-reducing grilling, the grill is designed with a slight slope. For flat cooking or baking (e.g., with deep dish pans or waffle plates), locate the adjustable angle lever at the back of the grill. Adjust the lever to flatten the cooking surface.

Care and Cleaning
Proper care and cleaning will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your George Foreman Evolve Grill System.
