Important Safety Instructions

Product Overview

Components

Setup

Follow these steps to assemble your Hurom HG-EBE11 juicer before first use.

1. Place the Juicing Bowl: Position the juicing bowl onto the motor base, aligning the red dot on the bowl with the red dot on the base. Rotate clockwise until it locks into place.

2. Insert the Spinning Brush and Strainer: Place the spinning brush inside the juicing bowl, then insert the fine strainer into the center of the spinning brush.
3. Insert the Auger: Place the double-blade auger into the center of the strainer, rotating it slightly until it drops into position.
4. Attach the Hopper: Place the hopper onto the top of the juicing bowl, aligning the marks and rotating clockwise until it locks securely. Ensure the pulp control lever is in the "CLOSE" position for initial assembly.

5. Position Containers: Place the juice pitcher under the juice outlet and the pulp pitcher under the pulp outlet.

Operating Instructions

Operating your Hurom juicer is straightforward. Follow these guidelines for optimal performance.

Ingredient Preparation

• Wash all fruits and vegetables thoroughly.
• Remove large seeds, pits, and hard skins (e.g., avocado pits, mango pits, pineapple skin).
• Cut ingredients into pieces that fit easily into the hopper. For fibrous vegetables like celery, cut into short pieces (2-3 cm) to prevent clogging.
• For leafy greens, roll them into a tight ball before feeding.

Juicing Process

1. Ensure the juice cap is closed if you wish to mix juices inside the bowl or perform pre-cleaning.
2. Plug in the juicer.
3. Press the "ON" button to start the motor.
4. Slowly feed prepared ingredients into the hopper. Use the pushing rod only if necessary to guide ingredients. Do not force ingredients.
5. Alternate between soft and hard ingredients for best results and to prevent clogging.
6. Once juicing is complete, open the juice cap to dispense the juice into the pitcher.
7. To clear remaining pulp, you can briefly switch to "REV" (reverse) mode while the juice cap is closed, then switch back to "ON" and open the cap.
8. Press the "OFF" button to stop the juicer.

Pulp Control Lever

The pulp control lever on the front allows you to adjust the amount of pulp discharged. For most juicing, keep it in the "CLOSE" position. For softer fruits or to clear pulp, you can move it to the "OPEN" or "SEMI-OPEN" position.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your juicer.

Pre-Cleaning

After juicing, close the juice cap and pour 1-2 cups of water into the hopper. Run the juicer for 30 seconds. This helps rinse the internal components and makes final cleaning easier. Open the juice cap to drain the water.

Disassembly and Cleaning

1. Unplug the juicer from the power outlet.
2. Remove the hopper by rotating it counter-clockwise.
3. Lift out the auger, then the strainer and spinning brush assembly.
4. Remove the juicing bowl from the motor base by rotating it counter-clockwise.
5. Rinse all detachable parts under running water. Use the provided cleaning brushes to remove any pulp residue, especially from the strainer.
6. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Never immerse the motor base in water.
7. Allow all parts to air dry completely before reassembling or storing.

Storage

Store the clean and dry juicer in a cool, dry place. The pitchers can be nested for compact storage.
