Setup
1. Unpacking and Inspection
Carefully remove the guitar from its packaging. Inspect the instrument for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. Retain all packaging materials for future transport or storage.
2. Tuning the Guitar
The Demon-6 FR CRB is equipped with a Floyd Rose Special tremolo system. Tuning this system requires specific steps:
- Unlock the nut clamps at the headstock.
- Use the tuning pegs on the headstock to bring each string to its desired pitch.
- Once tuned, tighten the nut clamps to lock the strings.
- Use the fine tuners on the Floyd Rose bridge for minor adjustments to pitch.

3. Adjusting the Tremolo System
The Floyd Rose Special bridge allows for pitch bending and dive bombs. Proper setup ensures tuning stability and playability. Adjustments to string height (action) and intonation should be performed by a qualified technician if you are unfamiliar with Floyd Rose systems.

4. Truss Rod Adjustment
The guitar features a 2-way adjustable truss rod with a 5/32” Allen nut. This allows for adjustment of the neck relief. Adjustments should only be made if necessary to correct excessive neck bow or back-bow, and should be done incrementally. Consult a professional if unsure.
Operating the Guitar
1. Controls
The Demon-6 FR CRB features a straightforward control layout:
- Volume Knob: Controls the overall output volume of the guitar.
- Tone Knob: Adjusts the treble response, from bright to warm.
- 3-Position Pickup Selector Switch:
- Position 1 (Neck): Activates the neck pickup (Duncan Designed HB-105N) for warmer, smoother tones.
- Position 2 (Middle): Activates both neck and bridge pickups for a balanced tone.
- Position 3 (Bridge): Activates the bridge pickup (Duncan Designed HB-105B) for brighter, more aggressive tones.

2. Active Pickups
The Duncan Designed HB-105 active pickups require a 9V battery (not included) for operation. The battery compartment is typically located on the back of the guitar. Replace the battery when the output signal becomes weak or distorted.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Regularly wipe down the guitar with a soft, lint-free cloth after each use to remove sweat and fingerprints. For the body, a guitar-specific polish can be used. For the fretboard, use a dedicated fretboard conditioner periodically to prevent drying and cracking.
2. String Replacement
Strings should be replaced regularly to maintain optimal tone and playability. When replacing strings on a Floyd Rose system, it is recommended to replace them one at a time to maintain tension balance, or to block the tremolo system to keep it level.
3. Fretboard Care
The rosewood fretboard benefits from occasional conditioning. Apply a small amount of lemon oil or a specialized fretboard conditioner to a cloth and wipe it onto the fretboard. Allow it to soak in for a few minutes, then wipe off any excess.

4. Hardware Inspection
Periodically check all screws and hardware for tightness, especially on the Floyd Rose bridge and tuning machines. Loose hardware can affect tuning stability and playability.
Troubleshooting
- No Sound or Weak Output:
- Check the guitar cable connection to both the guitar and amplifier.
- Ensure the amplifier is turned on and volume is up.
- Verify the 9V battery for the active pickups is fresh and correctly installed.
- Check the volume and tone knobs on the guitar are not set to zero.
- Poor Tuning Stability:
- Ensure the Floyd Rose locking nut clamps are securely tightened after tuning.
- Check for worn strings; replace if necessary.
- Verify that the tremolo springs in the back cavity are properly balanced.
- Ensure all bridge components are clean and free of debris.
- Fret Buzz:
- Check neck relief; a slight forward bow is usually desired. Adjust the truss rod incrementally if needed.
- Inspect string action (height); it might be too low.
- Ensure frets are level. If not, professional fret leveling may be required.
