Operating Instructions

1. Powering On/Off and Variable Speed Trigger

Press the variable-speed trigger to turn the tool on. The speed of the drill is controlled by how far you depress the trigger. Releasing the trigger turns the tool off.

2. Speed Settings (Gear Selector)

The drill driver has a 2-speed transmission. Use the gear selector switch located on top of the tool to choose between:

  • Speed 1 (Low Speed): For high-torque applications, such as driving large fasteners or drilling large holes (0-400 RPM).
  • Speed 2 (High Speed): For faster drilling and lighter fastening tasks (0-1300 RPM).

3. Torque Adjustment (Clutch Settings)

The DDB181-02 features 20 clutch settings plus a drill mode. Rotate the torque adjustment ring behind the chuck to select the desired torque setting. Lower numbers are for smaller screws and softer materials, while higher numbers are for larger screws and harder materials. The drill mode (indicated by a drill bit icon) bypasses the clutch for maximum power when drilling.

The center position locks the trigger for safety.

5. LED Work Light

The integrated LED light illuminates the work area when the trigger is pressed, improving visibility in dark spaces.
