Setup

Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials, including foam and adhesive tape. Remove any protective film from the exterior surfaces. Clean the interior with a damp cloth before use.

Location Requirements

Place the refrigerator on a flat, stable surface strong enough to support the unit when fully loaded. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources (stoves, heaters), and excessive moisture. Ensure proper ventilation as described in the safety instructions.

Leveling the Refrigerator

The refrigerator has adjustable leveling legs at the front. Turn the legs clockwise to raise the unit or counter-clockwise to lower it. Ensure the refrigerator is level to prevent vibrations and ensure proper door sealing.

Electrical Connection

Plug the refrigerator into a dedicated, grounded 115V/60Hz electrical outlet. Do not use a power strip or extension cord. Allow the refrigerator to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in to allow the refrigerant to settle.

Door Reversal (Optional)

This refrigerator may feature a reversible door. If you wish to change the door swing direction, refer to the detailed instructions provided in the separate door reversal kit or contact customer support for guidance. This process typically involves removing hinges and reattaching them on the opposite side.

Operating Instructions

Temperature Control

The refrigerator is equipped with an adjustable thermostat control located inside the unit. Turn the dial to adjust the temperature. Settings range from '1' (warmest) to '7' (coldest). A setting of '4' or '5' is generally recommended for normal use.

Initial Operation

After plugging in the refrigerator, allow it to operate for 2-3 hours on an empty load before placing food inside. This allows the interior to reach the desired temperature.

Food Storage Guidelines

  • Do not overload the refrigerator. Allow space for air to circulate around items.
  • Store perishable foods in sealed containers to prevent odor transfer and maintain freshness.
  • Avoid placing hot foods directly into the refrigerator; allow them to cool to room temperature first.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Interior: Unplug the refrigerator before cleaning. Wash the interior surfaces, shelves, and door gasket with a solution of mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

Exterior: Clean the exterior with a soft cloth dampened with mild soap and water. Dry thoroughly. Avoid getting water on electrical components.

Defrosting

This refrigerator is a manual defrost model. Frost will accumulate on the freezer compartment walls. When the frost layer is approximately 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) thick, defrost the unit.

  1. Unplug the refrigerator.
  2. Remove all food items and place them in a cooler.
  3. Leave the door open to allow frost to melt naturally. Place towels at the bottom to absorb water.
  4. Once defrosted, clean and dry the interior.
  5. Plug the refrigerator back in and allow it to cool before returning food.

Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to remove frost, as this can damage the cooling system.

Power Outage

In case of a power outage, keep the refrigerator door closed to maintain internal temperature for as long as possible. Avoid opening the door unnecessarily.

Vacation and Storage

For long periods of absence, unplug the refrigerator, empty all contents, defrost, clean, and dry the interior. Leave the door slightly ajar to prevent odors and mold growth.
