2. Controls and Connections
Top Panel Controls

- NFC Area: For one-touch Bluetooth pairing with compatible devices.
- Bluetooth/Call Button: Press to answer/end calls, press and hold to initiate Bluetooth pairing.
- Volume Down (-): Decreases audio volume.
- Volume Up (+): Increases audio volume.
- ROAR Button: Activates or deactivates the ROAR audio enhancement mode.
- Power Button: Press and hold to power the speaker on or off.

3. Setup
3.1 Charging the Speaker
- Connect the provided power adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the speaker.
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
- The battery indicator LEDs on the top panel will illuminate to show the charging status. All LEDs will be solid green when fully charged.
Note: Fully charge the speaker before first use for optimal battery performance.
3.2 Powering On/Off
- To Power On: Press and hold the Power button on the top panel until the speaker powers on.
- To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button until the speaker powers off.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Bluetooth Pairing
NFC Pairing (One-Touch)
- Ensure NFC is enabled on your mobile device.
- Tap your NFC-enabled device to the NFC area on the top panel of the speaker.
- Confirm the pairing request on your device. The speaker will indicate successful pairing.
Manual Bluetooth Pairing
- With the speaker powered on, press and hold the Bluetooth/Call button until the Bluetooth indicator light flashes rapidly, indicating pairing mode.
- On your mobile device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
- Select "Sound Blaster Roar" from the list of devices.
- The speaker will indicate successful pairing, and the Bluetooth indicator light will turn solid blue.
Bluetooth Link Security (LS)
The LS switch on the rear panel controls how other devices can connect to your speaker:
- OFF: Any device can connect and disconnect the speaker.
- LS1 (Friendly Access): Only previously paired devices can connect.
- LS2 (Multi Access): Allows two devices to be connected simultaneously, but only one can play audio at a time.
4.2 Wired Audio Connection (AUX In)
- Connect one end of a 3.5mm stereo audio cable (not included) to the AUX IN port on the speaker.
- Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your audio source (e.g., MP3 player, computer).
- The speaker will automatically switch to AUX input mode.
4.3 USB Audio Playback (PC/Mac)
- Connect the speaker to your PC or Mac using a Micro USB cable.
- The computer should recognize the speaker as an audio device. You may need to select "Sound Blaster Roar" as the default playback device in your operating system's sound settings.
- Install the Creative Sound Blaster Control Panel software for additional audio enhancements (available from Creative's website).
4.4 MicroSD Card MP3 Playback
- Insert a MicroSD card containing MP3 audio files into the MicroSD card slot on the rear panel.
- The speaker will automatically begin playing the MP3 files.
- Use the Play/Pause, Next Track, and Previous Track buttons on the rear panel to control playback.
4.5 Voice Recorder
- Ensure a MicroSD card is inserted.
- Press the Record button on the rear panel to start recording. The REC indicator will light up.
- Press the Record button again to stop recording.
- Recordings are saved to the MicroSD card.
4.6 Speakerphone Functionality
When connected via Bluetooth to a smartphone, the speaker can be used as a speakerphone:
- Answer Call: Press the Bluetooth/Call button once.
- End Call: Press the Bluetooth/Call button once during a call.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the Bluetooth/Call button.
4.7 Battery Bank Function
The speaker can charge other USB-powered devices:
- Connect your device to the DC OUT (5V 1A) USB port on the rear panel using a compatible USB cable.
- Charging will begin automatically.
4.8 ROAR Mode
Press the ROAR button on the top panel to instantly boost the speaker's loudness, depth, and spaciousness for a more impactful audio experience.
4.9 TeraBass
The TeraBass feature intelligently compensates for the loss of bass at low playback volumes, ensuring a consistent bass response. Activate or deactivate it using the TeraBass button on the rear panel.
4.10 Bedtime Listening Mode
This mode gradually reduces the speaker's volume over a set period, ideal for falling asleep to music. Refer to the full Creative Sound Blaster Roar manual for activation details.
4.11 Siren
The speaker includes a siren function for emergency alerts. Activate it using the Alarm/Siren switch on the rear panel.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning
- Wipe the speaker's exterior with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or solvents.
- Avoid getting moisture into any openings.
5.2 Battery Care
- Charge the speaker regularly, even if not in use, to maintain battery health.
- Avoid exposing the speaker to extreme temperatures (hot or cold).

5.3 Storage

6. Troubleshooting
6.1 No Power
- Ensure the speaker is charged. Connect it to the power adapter and allow it to charge for a period.
- Verify the power adapter is securely connected to both the speaker and a working power outlet.
6.2 No Sound
- Check that the speaker's volume is turned up.
- Ensure the audio source (e.g., phone, computer) volume is also turned up and not muted.
- If using Bluetooth, ensure the speaker is properly paired and connected to your device.
- If using AUX In, verify the 3.5mm cable is securely connected to both the speaker and the audio source.
- If using USB Audio, confirm the speaker is selected as the default playback device on your computer.
6.3 Bluetooth Pairing Issues
- Ensure the speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode (flashing blue indicator).
- Make sure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and it is within range (typically 10 meters or 33 feet).
- Try forgetting or removing "Sound Blaster Roar" from your device's Bluetooth list and attempt pairing again.
- Check the Bluetooth Link Security (LS) switch on the rear panel. Set it to OFF for initial pairing if you are experiencing issues.
6.4 Distorted Audio
- Reduce the volume on both the speaker and the audio source.
- Ensure the audio source is playing high-quality audio files.
- If using Bluetooth, move your device closer to the speaker to avoid interference.

8. Safety Information
