Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Bose CineMate 15 Home Theater Speaker System.
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure you have the soundbar (with attached speaker cable), Acoustimass module, power cord, digital optical cable, analog cable, and universal IR remote with 2 AA batteries.
- Position the Soundbar: Place the soundbar directly in front of your TV, ensuring it does not block the TV's remote sensor. The soundbar is compact, measuring only 12 inches wide, allowing for flexible placement.
- Position the Acoustimass Module: Place the Acoustimass module on the floor, ideally near the soundbar or in a discreet location in the front of your room, even behind furniture. Ensure it has proper ventilation.
- Connect the Soundbar to the Acoustimass Module: Connect the attached speaker cable from the soundbar to the corresponding input on the Acoustimass module.
- Connect to TV: Connect the soundbar to your TV using one of the provided audio cables. The recommended connection is the digital optical cable for optimal sound quality. If your TV does not have an optical output, use the analog cable.
- Connect Power: Plug the power cord into the Acoustimass module, and then into a wall outlet. The system will power on automatically.
- Insert Batteries into Remote: Open the battery compartment on the universal IR remote and insert the two AA batteries.

Operating the System
The CineMate 15 system is designed for simple operation using the provided universal remote control.
- Power On/Off: The system typically powers on automatically when it detects an audio signal from your TV. You can also use the Power button on the universal remote.
- Volume Control: Use the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons on the universal remote to adjust the sound level. The system provides detailed sound at any volume.
- Input Selection: The system automatically detects the active audio input. If you have multiple devices connected to your TV, the soundbar will play audio from the TV's currently selected input.
- Bass Adjustment: The Acoustimass module features a bass adjustment knob on its rear panel. Turn the knob clockwise to increase bass output or counter-clockwise to decrease it, allowing you to customize the deep bass experience.
- Universal Remote Programming: The included universal remote can be programmed to control many TVs, cable boxes, Blu-ray players, and other devices, reducing remote clutter. Refer to the remote's programming guide for specific codes and instructions.
