Introduction

The Hoover Power Path Pro Corded Carpet Cleaner, model FH51101, is designed to provide deep cleaning for carpets and upholstery. It features a combination of a rotating brush roll and SpinScrub technology to effectively lift and remove tough stains. The unit includes a removable 13-inch dual V nozzle and a 1.25-gallon clean water tank for efficient cleaning of large areas. Setup

1. Assembly

Your carpet cleaner may require minor assembly. Follow the instructions provided in the packaging for attaching the handle and any other components. Ensure all parts click securely into place before use.

2. Filling the Clean Water Tank

1. Remove the clean water tank from the unit.
2. Unscrew the cap and fill the tank with warm tap water up to the indicated fill line.
3. Add the recommended amount of Hoover cleaning solution to the tank. Do not overfill.
4. Securely replace the cap and reinsert the tank into the cleaner until it locks into position.

Operating Instructions

1. Pre-Cleaning Steps

• Vacuum the carpet thoroughly to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Test a small, inconspicuous area of the carpet for colorfastness before full application.
• Move furniture out of the area to be cleaned.

2. Carpet Cleaning

1. Plug the cleaner into a grounded electrical outlet.
2. Turn on the power switch.
3. Press the solution trigger on the handle and make a slow, forward wet stroke. Release the trigger and make a slow, backward dry stroke over the same area.
4. Overlap each cleaning path by one inch to ensure thorough cleaning.
5. Continue cleaning until the dirty water tank is full or the clean water tank is empty.

3. Using the Upholstery Tool

1. Attach the 8-foot hose and upholstery tool to the designated port on the cleaner.
2. Ensure the main cleaning nozzle is disengaged or lifted to direct suction to the hose.
3. Press the trigger on the upholstery tool to spray solution and scrub the fabric. Release the trigger and use suction to remove dirty water.
4. Do not oversaturate fabric. Allow upholstery to dry completely before use.

Maintenance

1. Emptying and Cleaning the Dirty Water Tank

• Turn off and unplug the cleaner.
• Remove the dirty water tank from the unit.
• Open the tank and pour out the dirty water.
• Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water. Ensure the gasket is properly seated and sealed to prevent loss of suction.
• Allow the tank to air dry before reassembling.

2. Cleaning the Nozzle and Brushes

• The 13-inch dual V nozzle is removable for easy cleaning. Detach it and rinse under running water to remove any debris.
• Inspect the rotating brush roll and SpinScrub brushes for tangled hair or debris. Use scissors to cut away any obstructions.
• Ensure all components are dry before reattaching.

3. Storage

Store the cleaner in a dry, indoor area. Ensure both tanks are empty and clean before storage. Wrap the power cord neatly around the cord hooks.
