Setup

Charging the Battery

The device includes a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. Before first use, fully charge the unit using the provided AC power supply. Connect the AC adapter to the device's charging port and plug it into a standard wall outlet. The charging indicator (if present) will show the charging status. A full charge ensures optimal performance and battery life.

Initial Power On

Locate the power switch, typically on the side or bottom of the unit. Slide or press the switch to the "ON" position to power on the device. The display (if available) or an indicator light will illuminate.

Operating Instructions

Flashlight and Lantern Operation

The device features both a directional flashlight and an LED lantern for various lighting needs.

• To activate the flashlight, locate the dedicated flashlight switch or button and press/slide it.
• To activate the LED lantern, locate the dedicated lantern switch or button and press/slide it. Some models may offer multiple brightness settings or modes, which can be cycled through by pressing the button repeatedly.

Radio Operation (FM)

The QFX CS-180BLK includes an FM radio tuner.

1. Extend the telescoping antenna fully for optimal reception.
2. Power on the device.
3. Press the "MODE" button (if available) to select FM radio mode.
4. Use the "K< / CH-" and "I / CH+" buttons to manually tune to a desired station. A short press changes the frequency incrementally.
5. To automatically scan for and save available stations, press and hold the "I / CH+ / SCAN" button. The radio will scan and store stations in memory.
6. Adjust the volume using the "VOL-" and "VOL+" buttons.

USB/SD Card Playback

Play MP3 audio files directly from a USB drive or SD card.

1. Insert a USB drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD card slot. Ensure the card/drive is formatted with compatible audio files (e.g., MP3).
2. The device should automatically switch to USB or SD card mode. If not, press the "MODE" button to select the correct source.
3. Use the "K< / CH-" and "I / CH+" buttons to navigate between tracks.
4. Press the "I / CH+ / SCAN" button to play or pause the current track.
5. Adjust the volume using the "VOL-" and "VOL+" buttons.

Recording Function

The device supports recording audio to a connected USB drive or SD card.

1. Ensure a USB drive or SD card is inserted and has sufficient free space.
2. Select the desired audio source you wish to record (e.g., FM radio, AUX IN).
3. Press the "REC/DEL" button to start recording. A recording indicator may appear on the display.
4. Press the "REC/DEL" button again to stop recording. The recorded file will be saved to the USB drive or SD card.

AUX In Connection

Connect external audio devices such as smartphones or MP3 players using the AUX IN port.

1. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX IN port on the QFX CS-180BLK.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to the headphone jack or audio output of your external device.
3. Press the "MODE" button to select AUX IN mode.
4. Control playback from your external device. Adjust volume using both the external device and the QFX CS-180BLK's "VOL-" and "VOL+" buttons.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or strong chemicals, as these may damage the surface or internal components.

Battery Care

• To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
• If storing the device for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50% and recharge every 3-6 months to prevent deep discharge.
