Setup
1. Battery Installation
The Microlife WS 80 Diagnostic Scale requires 2 CR2 batteries, which are included. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Open the compartment cover, insert the batteries according to the polarity indicators (+/-), and close the cover securely.
2. Initial Placement
Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Avoid carpets or uneven flooring, as this can affect measurement accuracy. Ensure the scale is not exposed to direct sunlight or extreme temperature changes.
Operating Instructions
1. Turning On and Basic Weight Measurement
The scale features an "Instant On" function. Simply tap the scale firmly with your foot or step directly onto it. The display will activate, show "0.0 kg" (or your selected unit), and then display your weight.
2. Switching Weight Units (KG / LB / ST)
To change the weight unit, locate the unit switch button on the underside of the scale, usually near the battery compartment. Press this button to cycle through Kilograms (KG), Pounds (LB), and Stones (ST) until your desired unit is displayed.
3. User Profile Setup and Measurement (Body Composition Analysis)
The Microlife WS 80 can store data for up to 10 users. To utilize the body composition analysis features (Body Fat, Body Water, Muscle Mass, Bone Mass, BMI, BMR), you must first set up a user profile.
- Press the "USER" button to select a user number (P1-P10).
- Press "ON/SET" to confirm the user number.
- Use the arrow buttons (▲/▼) to set your height, age, and sex. Press "ON/SET" after each setting to confirm.
- Once your profile is set, the display will show "0.0 kg". Step onto the scale barefoot, ensuring your feet are placed on the metal electrodes. Remain still until your weight and body composition readings are displayed.
- The scale will cycle through your measurements: Weight, Body Fat (%), Body Water (%), Muscle Mass (%), Bone Mass (kg), BMI, and BMR (kcal).
4. Recalling Previous Measurements
To view previous measurements for a specific user, select the user profile using the "USER" button and then press the "ON/SET" button. The scale may display the last recorded measurements or prompt you to take a new one.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Clean the scale surface with a damp cloth and a mild detergent if necessary. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the scale in water. Ensure the scale is dry before storage or next use.
2. Storage
Store the scale in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid placing heavy objects on the scale when not in use.
3. Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace both CR2 batteries promptly to ensure accurate readings.
