1. Introduction

2. Package Contents

Note: Batteries are not included and must be purchased separately. The spotlight requires 3 D-cell batteries, and the remote control requires 2 AAA batteries.

3. Important Safety Information

  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
  • Always insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
  • Dispose of used batteries properly according to local regulations.
  • Do not submerge the unit in water. While weather-resistant, it is not waterproof.

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Battery Installation

  1. Spotlight: Twist the back cover of the spotlight counter-clockwise to open the battery compartment. Insert 3 D-cell batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Replace the cover and twist clockwise to secure.
  2. Remote Control: Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote. Insert 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment.

4.2 Mounting the Spotlight

The MB370 spotlight is designed for wall mounting. Choose a location that provides optimal coverage and is within range of the remote control (up to 30 feet).

  1. Select a desired mounting location. The spotlight can be installed on walls, eaves, or other flat surfaces.
  2. Use the mounting bracket as a template to mark the screw holes.
  3. Drill pilot holes if necessary, and insert wall anchors if mounting into drywall or masonry.
  4. Secure the mounting bracket to the surface using the provided screws.
  5. Attach the spotlight to the mounting bracket, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
  6. Adjust the angle of the spotlight to direct the light as needed.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Motion Sensor Operation

The spotlight features a built-in motion sensor that activates the light when movement is detected within its range (up to 3 feet). The integrated photocell ensures the light only activates in low-light conditions to conserve battery life.

  • When motion is detected in darkness, the spotlight will turn on automatically.
  • The default auto shut-off setting for motion activation is 3 seconds after motion ceases.

5.2 Remote Control Functions

The remote control allows for manual operation and adjustment of settings.

  • ON Button: Press to manually turn the spotlight ON.
  • OFF Button: Press to manually turn the spotlight OFF.
  • Brightness Settings: The remote allows you to cycle through three brightness levels: 60, 90, or 140 lumens. Press the brightness button to adjust.
  • Auto Shut-Off Timer: When manually activated with the remote, you can set the light to turn off after 1 hour or 4 hours. Consult the remote's specific button for this function.
  • Motion Sensor Activation: The remote can also be used to enable or disable the motion sensor functionality.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Replacement

When the light output diminishes or the unit stops functioning, it is time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 4.1.

6.2 Cleaning

Wipe the spotlight and remote control with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the unit.
