- Measure Water: Use the provided measuring cup to add the appropriate amount of water to the heating plate. The measuring cup has markings for different egg consistencies (soft, medium, hard) and number of eggs (1 or 2). Adjust water quantity based on desired hardness and egg size.
- Pierce Eggs: Carefully pierce the larger end of each egg with the egg piercer located on the bottom of the measuring cup. This prevents the eggs from cracking during cooking.
- Place Eggs: Place the pierced eggs into the egg holders on the heating plate.
- Close Lid: Place the transparent lid securely over the egg holder and heating plate.
- Start Cooking: Plug the appliance into a compatible 220V power outlet. Press the On/Off button. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that cooking has begun.
- Cooking Process: The water will heat up and steam will cook the eggs.
- Completion: Once the water has evaporated and the eggs are cooked to the desired consistency, the appliance will emit an audible signal (alarm). The indicator light will turn off.
- Remove Eggs: Immediately unplug the appliance. Carefully remove the lid, being cautious of hot steam. Use oven mitts or a cloth to handle the hot eggs and transfer them to a bowl of cold water to stop the cooking process and make them easier to peel.
- Cool Down: Allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning or storing.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your egg cooker.
- Always unplug the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Lid and Egg Holder: These parts are dishwasher safe or can be washed by hand with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Heating Plate: Wipe the heating plate with a damp cloth. For stubborn mineral deposits (limescale), you can use a small amount of vinegar or a descaling solution specifically designed for kitchen appliances. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can damage the surface.
- Base Unit: Wipe the exterior of the base unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the base unit in water.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the appliance.
