Setup Guide
Follow these steps to connect your Ear Force Stealth 500P headset to your gaming console or mobile device.

Connecting to PlayStation 4 (PS4 Pro or PS4 with Optical Port)
- Connect the Wireless Transmitter to an available USB port on your PS4.
- Connect the Optical Cable from the PS4's Optical OUT port to the Optical IN port on the Wireless Transmitter.
- Power on your headset by holding the Power button. The headset and transmitter should automatically pair.
- On your PS4, navigate to Settings > Sound and Screen > Audio Output Settings.
- Set Primary Output Port to Digital Out (Optical) and select Dolby Digital.
- Set Audio Format (Priority) to Bitstream (Dolby).
- Go to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices.
- Set Input Device and Output Device to USB Headset (Turtle Beach Stealth 500P).
- Adjust Volume Control (Headphones) to maximum.
- Set Output to Headphones to Chat Audio or All Audio as preferred.
Connecting to PlayStation 4 (PS4 without Optical Port / PS4 Slim)
For PS4 models without an optical port, you will need to connect the optical cable from your TV's optical OUT port to the Wireless Transmitter. Ensure your TV is set to output Dolby Digital audio.
- Connect the Wireless Transmitter to an available USB port on your PS4.
- Connect the Optical Cable from your TV's Optical OUT port to the Optical IN port on the Wireless Transmitter.
- Power on your headset by holding the Power button.
- On your PS4, navigate to Settings > Devices > Audio Devices.
- Set Input Device and Output Device to USB Headset (Turtle Beach Stealth 500P).
- Adjust Volume Control (Headphones) to maximum.
- Set Output to Headphones to Chat Audio or All Audio as preferred.
Connecting to PlayStation 3 (PS3)
- Connect the Wireless Transmitter to an available USB port on your PS3.
- Connect the Optical Cable from the PS3's Optical OUT port to the Optical IN port on the Wireless Transmitter.
- Power on your headset by holding the Power button.
- On your PS3, navigate to Settings > Accessory Settings > Audio Device Settings.
- Set Input Device and Output Device to USB Headset (Turtle Beach Stealth 500P).
- Go to Settings > Sound Settings > Audio Output Settings.
- Select Optical Digital and ensure Dolby Digital 5.1 Ch. is selected.
Connecting to Mobile/Tablet Devices
Use the included 3.5mm Mobile Cable to connect your headset directly to your mobile or tablet device's headphone jack.

Controls Overview
- Power Button: Press and hold to power on/off.
- Game Volume Dial: Adjusts the overall game audio volume.
- Chat Volume Dial: Adjusts the chat audio volume independently.
- Mic Mute Button: Press to mute/unmute the microphone.
- EQ/DTS Mode Button: Cycles through different audio presets and DTS Surround Sound modes.
- Mic Monitoring Dial: Adjusts the level of your own voice heard in the headset.
Note: Ensure both Game Volume and Chat Volume dials are turned up to hear audio. Some users have reported that both dials need to be active for any sound output.

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your headset, refer to the following common solutions:
No Audio / Low Audio
- Ensure the headset is powered on and fully charged.
- Verify that the Wireless Transmitter is securely connected to the console's USB and Optical ports.
- Check console audio settings as described in the Setup Guide.
- Ensure both the Game Volume and Chat Volume dials on the headset are turned up.
- Confirm that the optical cable is not damaged and is correctly seated.
Microphone Not Working
- Ensure the microphone is securely inserted into the headset.
- Check that the Mic Mute button is not active (unmuted).
- Verify console audio device settings for microphone input.
- Adjust the Mic Monitoring dial to ensure you can hear your own voice.
Headset Not Pairing / Disconnecting
- Power cycle both the headset and the console.
- To re-pair the transmitter and headset, locate the small pinhole button on the side of the wireless transmitter. Use a paperclip or similar thin object to press and hold this button until the LED flashes rapidly. Then, power on your headset and hold its Power button until it pairs.
- Ensure no other wireless devices are causing interference.
