Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the device to ensure proper use and to prevent injury or damage. Keep this manual for future reference.
Safety Information
Operating power tools can be dangerous if proper safety precautions are not followed. Always prioritize your safety and the safety of others.
- Read the Manual: Familiarize yourself with all controls and safety warnings before use.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Always wear appropriate safety gear, including safety glasses, hearing protection, sturdy gloves, and non-slip footwear. Avoid loose clothing that could get caught in moving parts.
- Work Area: Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders, children, and pets. Maintain a safe distance from others.
- Fuel Handling: Handle fuel in a well-ventilated area, away from open flames or sparks. Do not smoke while refueling. Use the correct fuel mixture (1:40 gasoline to oil ratio).
- Secure Grip: Always maintain a firm grip on the handles with both hands during operation. Be prepared for sudden jolts or kickbacks.
- Inspect Before Use: Before each use, inspect the auger for any damaged or loose parts. Ensure the auger bit is securely attached.
- Emergency Stop: Know how to quickly stop the engine in an emergency.
- Avoid Obstacles: Be aware of underground pipes, cables, or rocks that could cause kickback or damage the auger.

Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Check for any shipping damage.
- Handle Assembly: Attach the handles to the main engine unit using the provided hardware. Ensure all bolts are tightened securely.
- Auger Bit Attachment: Select the desired auger bit (100mm, 150mm, or 200mm). Insert the auger bit shaft into the drill holder on the gearbox and secure it with the retaining pin and clip. Ensure it is firmly seated and cannot detach during operation.
- Fuel Preparation: The FX-EB152 uses a 2-stroke engine. Prepare a fuel mixture of gasoline and 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 1:40 (e.g., 25ml oil per 1 liter of gasoline). Use the provided mixing can for accurate measurement.
- Fueling: With the engine off and cool, carefully pour the prepared fuel mixture into the fuel tank. Do not overfill. Wipe up any spilled fuel immediately.
- Gearbox Oil Check: Verify the gearbox oil level using the innovative oil control window. If necessary, top up with appropriate gearbox oil. Refer to the maintenance section for oil specifications.
Operating Instructions
- Starting the Engine (Easy Starter):
- Place the auger on a flat, stable surface.
- Ensure the auger bit is not touching the ground or any obstacles.
- Set the choke lever to the "START" or "CLOSED" position (if cold engine).
- Press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible in the return line.
- Pull the starter cord slowly until resistance is felt, then pull sharply and quickly. Repeat until the engine fires.
- Once the engine fires, move the choke lever to the "RUN" or "OPEN" position.
- Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before applying throttle.
- Drilling:
- Hold the auger firmly with both hands. For larger bits or tough soil, two operators may be required.
- Position the auger bit over the desired drilling spot.
- Slowly engage the throttle to begin rotating the auger bit.
- Apply steady, downward pressure as the bit penetrates the soil. Avoid excessive force.
- If the auger encounters resistance (e.g., a rock or root), release the throttle immediately to prevent kickback.
- Periodically lift the auger slightly to clear soil from the hole and allow the bit to cool.
- Stopping the Engine:
- Release the throttle to allow the engine to idle.
- Press the engine stop switch to turn off the engine.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Fuxtec FX-EB152. Always perform maintenance with the engine off and cool.
- Cleaning: After each use, clean the auger bit and the main unit to remove soil, debris, and fuel residue. Use a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use high-pressure washers.
- Air Filter: Regularly inspect and clean the air filter. A clogged air filter can reduce engine performance. Clean with compressed air or replace if heavily soiled.
- Spark Plug: Check the spark plug periodically for wear and carbon buildup. Clean or replace as needed to ensure reliable starting and engine operation.
- Gearbox Oil: Monitor the gearbox oil level using the oil control window. Ensure the high-quality ventilation valve is clear. Change the gearbox oil according to the manufacturer's recommendations or if it appears dirty.
- Fuel System: If storing the auger for an extended period, drain the fuel tank or use a fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel degradation.
- Auger Bits: Inspect auger bits for wear or damage. Sharpen or replace dull blades for efficient drilling.
- Lubrication: Lubricate moving parts as indicated in the full product manual (not provided here).
- FUXTEC Oils: For optimal and durable operation, FUXTEC recommends using original FUXTEC oils.
Troubleshooting
