5. Setup and Installation

5.1 Placement

Position the pump on the pool cover in the area where water tends to accumulate. Ensure the pump is stable and upright. The pump's design allows it to sit securely on various pool cover surfaces.

5.2 Discharge Hose Connection

Connect a standard garden hose (not included) to the 1 in. NPT discharge with the provided garden hose adapter. Ensure the hose is routed away from the pool cover to a suitable drainage area, preventing water from returning to the cover or causing other issues.

5.3 Power Connection

Plug the pump's 25 ft power cord into a standard 115V GFCI-protected outlet. As per safety guidelines, do not use extension cords.

6. Operation

The Everbilt PC00801G pump features microprocessor-controlled automatic operation. It utilizes probe sensors to detect the presence of water on the pool cover.

6.1 Automatic Operation

  • When water accumulates on the pool cover and reaches the pump's sensors, the pump will automatically activate to remove the water.
  • The pump will continue to operate until the water level drops below the sensor level, at which point it will automatically shut off.

6.2 Debris and Ice Protection

The unit includes built-in protection against debris or ice locking the impeller, ensuring reliable operation in various conditions. However, regular inspection and cleaning are recommended.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Regular Cleaning

Periodically inspect the pump and its intake screen for debris such as leaves, twigs, or other obstructions. Clean any accumulated debris to ensure optimal performance and prevent damage to the impeller. Disconnect power before cleaning.

7.2 Winterization

In freezing conditions, disconnect the pump and store it in a warm, dry place to prevent ice damage. Ensure all water is drained from the pump and hose before storage. Do not allow the pump to freeze with water inside.
