Setup and First Use
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the toaster oven and all accessories from the packaging. Remove any packing materials, stickers, or tape.
- Placement: Place the toaster oven on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface. Ensure there is at least 4 inches (10 cm) of clearance on all sides and above the oven for proper ventilation. Do not place it directly against a wall or under cabinets.
- Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Wash the oven rack, baking pan, and crumb tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
- Initial Burn-Off: It is normal for the oven to produce some smoke and odor during its first use. This is due to the burning off of manufacturing residues. To minimize this, operate the oven empty for approximately 15 minutes at 450°F (230°C) on the Bake function. Ensure the area is well-ventilated.
- Crumb Tray Installation: Slide the removable crumb tray into the bottom slot of the oven. This tray collects crumbs and drips for easy cleaning.
