4. Setup

4.1 Transmitter (Doorbell Button) Installation

The transmitter can be installed using either the provided double-sided adhesive tape or screws and wall anchors.

  1. Battery Installation:

Before mounting, ensure the battery is correctly installed in the transmitter. Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to gently pry open the back cover of the transmitter. Insert a DC 3V CR2032 battery, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the cover securely.

  2. Choose a Mounting Method:
    • Adhesive Tape: Clean the desired mounting surface thoroughly. Peel off one side of the double-sided adhesive tape and apply it to the back of the transmitter. Peel off the other side and firmly press the transmitter onto the wall or door frame for at least 30 seconds.
    • Screws: Mark the desired mounting location. Drill two small pilot holes. Insert the wall anchors if mounting into drywall or masonry. Secure the transmitter to the surface using the provided screws.
  3. Optimal Placement: Mount the transmitter in a location that is easily accessible to visitors and provides a clear signal path to the receiver. Avoid placing it directly on metal surfaces, which can interfere with the wireless signal.

4.2 Receiver (Chime Unit) Setup

  1. Plug the receiver into any standard electrical outlet within range of the transmitter.
  2. The receiver will light up and emit a default chime, indicating it is powered on and ready for operation.

4.3 Pairing (If Necessary)

The transmitter and receiver are typically pre-paired at the factory. If they do not connect automatically or if you are adding a new component, follow these steps to pair them:

  1. Plug in the receiver.
  2. Press and hold the volume button on the receiver for approximately 5 seconds until you hear a "ding" sound and the LED indicator flashes rapidly. This indicates the receiver is in pairing mode.
  3. Immediately press the transmitter button once. The receiver will chime to confirm successful pairing.
  4. If pairing multiple transmitters, repeat step 2 and 3 for each additional transmitter.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Changing Melodies

To cycle through the 38 available melodies:

  • Press the "Melody Selection" button (musical note icon) on the receiver. Each press will advance to the next melody.
  • Once you find your desired melody, it will be saved automatically, even after a power outage.

5.2 Adjusting Volume

To adjust the volume level:

  • Press the "Volume Control" button (speaker icon) on the receiver.
  • There are 4 volume levels, including a silent mode (0dB) with only LED flash. Continue pressing to cycle through the levels.
  • The selected volume level will be saved automatically.

5.3 LED Indicator

When the doorbell button is pressed, the receiver's LED indicator will flash simultaneously with the chime sound. This feature is useful in noisy environments or for individuals with hearing impairments.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Transmitter Battery Replacement

When the transmitter's LED indicator no longer lights up or the signal range decreases significantly, it's time to replace the battery.

  1. Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to carefully pry open the back cover of the transmitter.
  2. Remove the old CR2032 battery.
  3. Insert a new DC 3V CR2032 battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. Snap the back cover firmly into place.

6.2 Cleaning

Wipe the doorbell and chime units with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the surface or internal components. Ensure the transmitter is dry before re-mounting if it has been exposed to excessive moisture.

7. Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Receiver does not chime when button is pressed.
  • Receiver not plugged in or no power.
  • Transmitter battery is dead or incorrectly installed.
  • Transmitter and receiver are not paired.
  • Distance too far or signal interference.
  • Ensure receiver is securely plugged into a working outlet.
  • Replace transmitter battery (CR2032) and check polarity.
  • Re-pair the transmitter and receiver (refer to Section 4.3).
  • Reduce distance between units or relocate to avoid interference from large metal objects, thick walls, or other wireless devices.
Chime sound is distorted or too low.
  • Volume setting is too low.
  • Receiver malfunction.
  • Adjust volume using the "Volume Control" button on the receiver.
  • Contact customer support if the issue persists.
