4.1 Control Module

5. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps to assemble your DD400 Electronic Drum Kit:
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all components from the packaging and verify against the package contents list.
- Assemble the Rack: Set up the main drum rack/frame. Ensure all locking mechanisms are secure. Refer to Figure 4.2 for the general structure.
- Attach Pads and Cymbals: Mount the drum pads and cymbal pads onto the rack arms. Adjust their positions for comfortable playing. Secure them firmly.
- Mount Control Module: Attach the DD400 control module to its designated position on the rack.

6. Operating Instructions
Once assembled and powered on, you can begin using your DD400 kit.
6.1 Basic Operation
- Adjust Volume: Turn the VOLUME knob to set your desired listening level.
- Select a Drum Kit: Press the KIT button. Use the navigation buttons (often combined with TEMPO/PAGE) to scroll through available drum kits. The display will show the current kit number.
- Play Along with a Pattern: Press the PATTERN button to select a rhythm. Press START/STOP to begin playback. Adjust the tempo with the TEMPO button and navigation.
- Use the Metronome: Press the CLICK button to activate the metronome. Adjust its tempo using the TEMPO button.
- Play Demo Songs: Press the DEMO button to play built-in demonstration songs. Press START/STOP to stop.
6.2 Advanced Functions (MIDI)
The DD400 supports MIDI connectivity, allowing you to connect it to a computer or other MIDI devices.
