Operating Instructions
Filling the Kettle
- Press the lid release button on the handle to open the Soft Top lid.
- Fill the glass jug with the desired amount of fresh cold water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark (57 oz / 1.7 L).
- Close the lid securely until it clicks into place.
- Place the kettle firmly on the power base.
Selecting Temperature and Boiling
The Breville BKE830XL IQ Kettle Pure offers 5 pre-programmed temperature settings for optimal brewing.
- Green/White Tea: 175°F (80°C)
- Oolong Tea: 195°F (90°C)
- French Press Coffee: 200°F (93°C)
- Black/Herbal Tea: 205°F (96°C)
- Boil: 212°F (100°C)
- Select the desired temperature button on the power base. The selected button will illuminate.
- Press the START/CANCEL button to begin the heating process. The button will illuminate, and the water will begin to heat.
- Once the selected temperature is reached, the kettle will automatically switch off and emit an audible alert.
Keep Warm Function
The Keep Warm function maintains the selected water temperature for 20 minutes.
- After selecting your desired temperature and pressing START/CANCEL, press the KEEP WARM button.
- The KEEP WARM button will illuminate, indicating the function is active.
- The kettle will maintain the temperature for 20 minutes. To cancel, press START/CANCEL.

Cleaning the Kettle
