Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.

Daily Cleaning:

  • Unplug the coffee maker and allow it to cool completely.
  • Remove and discard used coffee grounds and filter.
  • Wash the removable water tank, filter case, and glass carafe with warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
  • Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.

Descaling (Monthly or as needed):

Mineral deposits can build up over time, affecting performance. Descale your coffee maker regularly:

  1. Prepare a descaling solution using white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio) or a commercial descaling agent according to its instructions.
  2. Fill the water tank with the descaling solution.
  3. Place an empty paper filter in the filter case and position the empty carafe.
  4. Run a brewing cycle. After about half the solution has brewed through, turn off the coffee maker and let it sit for 15-20 minutes to allow the solution to work.
  5. Turn the coffee maker back on and allow the remaining solution to brew through.
  6. Discard the solution and run two full cycles with fresh, clean water to rinse thoroughly.
