Please read and save these important safety instructions before using your Air Innovations Swirl Cool fan. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or personal injury.

• Always unplug the fan from the electrical outlet before cleaning, servicing, or moving.
• Do not operate the fan with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord or plug is damaged, contact customer service for assistance.
• Keep the fan away from water and moisture. Do not use in wet locations such as bathrooms or laundry areas.
• Do not insert fingers or foreign objects into the fan grille while it is operating.
• Ensure the fan is placed on a stable, level surface to prevent tipping.
• This fan is for indoor use only. Do not use outdoors.
• Do not cover the fan or restrict airflow during operation.
• Supervise children when the fan is in use.

Product Overview and Components

The Air Innovations AI-4400 Swirl Cool fan is designed to provide efficient air circulation with its unique Swirl Cool technology. It features a 2-in-1 design, allowing use as a stand fan or a tabletop fan, and includes a convenient cord wrap.

Key components include:

• On-Off / Speed Button: Controls power and fan speed (Low, Medium, High).
• Timer Button: Sets the automatic shut-off timer (1 to 7 hours).
• SwirlCool® Button: Activates or deactivates the Swirl Cool oscillating front grill.
• 12” Rotating Front Grill: Provides wide-area air circulation.
• Adjustment Levers: Secure the fan head at desired angles.

Setup

The Air Innovations AI-4400 fan offers versatile setup options as either a stand fan or a tabletop fan.

Assembling the Stand Fan

The fan comes largely pre-assembled. To set up as a stand fan:

1. Carefully remove all packaging materials.
2. Attach the fan head to the top of the chrome rods, ensuring the adjustment levers are securely fastened.
3. Insert the bottom ends of the chrome rods into the base, ensuring they click into place.
4. Connect the support bar between the two chrome rods at the desired height.

Converting to Tabletop Fan

To use the fan as a tabletop unit:

1. Unfasten the adjustment levers and carefully detach the fan head from the chrome rods.
2. Locate the removable tabletop bracket on the underside of the fan head.
3. Ensure the bracket is securely attached to provide a stable base for tabletop use.
4. Place the fan on a flat, stable surface.

Operating Instructions

Familiarize yourself with the control panel and remote control for optimal use of your fan.

Power and Speed Settings

Press the On-Off / Speed Button to turn the fan on. Each subsequent press will cycle through the speed settings: Low (L), Medium (M), High (H). Pressing it again after High will turn the fan off.

Swirl Cool Feature

The Swirl Cool feature provides wide-area air circulation without the entire fan oscillating. Press the SwirlCool® Button to activate this feature. The front grill will rotate independently to distribute airflow. Press the button again to deactivate it.

Timer Function

To set the automatic shut-off timer, press the Timer Button. Each press will increase the timer setting in 1-hour increments, up to 7 hours. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate. The fan will automatically turn off once the set time has elapsed.

Adjusting Height and Angle

The fan head can be tilted to direct airflow precisely. Loosen the adjustment levers on the sides of the fan head, tilt the head to your desired angle, and then tighten the levers to secure it. For stand mode, the height can also be adjusted by repositioning the support bar along the chrome rods.

Maintenance

Regular cleaning and proper storage will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your fan.

Cleaning

1. Always unplug the fan before cleaning.
2. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
3. To clean the fan blades, carefully remove the front grill (if detachable according to product design). Use a soft cloth or brush to remove dust and debris from the blades. Reattach the grill securely before use.
4. Ensure all parts are completely dry before plugging the fan back in.

Storage

When not in use, store the fan in a cool, dry place. Utilize the convenient cord wrap feature on the back of the fan to keep the power cord tidy and prevent damage.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Air Innovations AI-4400 fan, refer to the following common problems and solutions.

• Fan does not turn on:
  Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the power button has been pressed.
• Fan is noisy:
  Ensure the fan is placed on a stable, level surface. Check for any obstructions around the blades or grill. Dust buildup can also cause noise; refer to the cleaning instructions.
• Fan wobbles:
  Verify that the stand components are securely assembled and tightened. Ensure the fan is on a flat, stable surface.
• LED lights are too bright:
  The LED indicator lights on the control panel are designed to show current settings. There is no dimming function for these lights.
• Swirl Cool feature not working:
  Ensure the SwirlCool® button has been pressed. If the front grill does not rotate, check for any obstructions.
