5.1 Dry Ironing

1. Ensure the water tank is empty or the steam control is set to 'Dry Ironing'.

4. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating up.
5. Once the light turns off, the iron has reached the selected temperature and is ready for use.

5.2 Steam Ironing

1. Fill the water tank as described in Section 4.
2. Plug the iron into a suitable power outlet.
3. Set the temperature control dial to the 'Steam' range (usually indicated by three dots or a steam symbol). Steam ironing is only effective at higher temperatures.
4. Wait for the indicator light to turn off, signifying the iron has reached the correct temperature.
5. Adjust the steam control to the desired steam level.
6. Begin ironing.

5.3 Water Spray Function

To use the spray function, ensure the water tank is filled. Press the spray button to release a fine mist onto the fabric, helping to remove stubborn creases.

5.4 Steam Burst Function

For particularly stubborn wrinkles, press the steam burst button. This delivers a powerful shot of steam. Allow a few seconds between bursts for the steam to regenerate.

5.5 Vertical Steaming

The iron can be used for vertical steaming of hanging garments, curtains, or drapes. Hold the iron vertically a few inches away from the fabric and press the steam burst button. Ensure the iron is at a high temperature setting for effective vertical steaming.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

6.1 After Each Use

1. Unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely.
2. Empty any remaining water from the tank.
3. Wipe the soleplate with a damp cloth to remove any starch or fabric residue.
4. Clean the exterior of the iron with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

6.2 Self-Cleaning Facility

The self-cleaning function helps remove mineral deposits from the steam chamber. Perform this function monthly or as needed.

1. Fill the water tank to the 'MAX' level.
2. Plug in the iron and set the temperature control to the maximum setting.
3. Once the indicator light turns off, unplug the iron.
4. Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
5. Press and hold the self-clean button (if available, otherwise use steam burst repeatedly). Hot water and steam will be expelled from the soleplate, carrying impurities.
