1. Safety Instructions

Please read all instructions carefully before using your Vileda Steam Mop. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

  • Always ensure the appliance is unplugged before filling with water or performing maintenance.
  • Do not immerse the steam mop in water or any other liquid.
  • Use only tap water in the water tank. Do not add cleaning solutions, perfumes, or other chemicals, as this can damage the appliance and void the warranty.
  • Keep the steam mop out of reach of children and pets.
  • Do not direct steam at people, animals, or electrical appliances.
  • Always allow the appliance to cool down completely before storing.
  • Ensure the power cord is not damaged or tangled during use.

2. Package Contents

Carefully unpack your Vileda Steam Mop and ensure all components are present. If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact customer support.

3. Setup

3.1 Assembly

  1. Insert the handle assembly into the main body of the steam mop until it clicks securely into place.
  2. Ensure all connections are firm before proceeding.

3.2 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Ensure the steam mop is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the water tank cap on the main unit.
  3. Open the cap and use the provided measuring cup to fill the tank with clean tap water. The tank has a capacity of 400 ml. Do not overfill.
  4. Securely close the water tank cap.

3.3 Attaching the Microfiber Pad

  1. Place a clean microfiber pad on the floor with the white side facing up.
  2. Align the steam mop head over the pad and press down firmly to attach it. The pad will adhere to the hook-and-loop fasteners on the mop head.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Powering On and Heating

  1. Plug the steam mop into a suitable electrical outlet.
  2. Turn the power switch to the 'ON' position. The indicator light will illuminate.
  3. The Vileda Steam Mop heats up quickly, typically ready for use in approximately 15 seconds.

4.2 Cleaning Hard Floors

  1. Once the mop is ready, gently move it across the hard floor surface. The flexible, triangular head allows access to corners and edges.
  2. The steam will be released as you move the mop, effectively cleaning and sanitizing the floor.
  3. For stubborn spots, hold the mop over the area for a few seconds to allow the steam to penetrate.

4.3 Cleaning Carpets and Rugs

  1. For cleaning carpets and rugs, attach the carpet glider accessory to the mop head over the microfiber pad.
  2. Gently glide the mop over the carpet or rug surface. The steam will help to refresh and deodorize the fibers.
  3. Do not saturate carpets; use short, controlled passes.

5. Maintenance

5.1 Cleaning Microfiber Pads

The 100% microfiber pads are washable and reusable.

  • Remove the microfiber pad from the mop head after each use.
  • Machine wash the pads with similar colors at a low temperature (e.g., 30-40°C). Do not use bleach or fabric softener.
  • Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.

5.2 Draining and Storage

  1. After use, unplug the steam mop and allow it to cool down completely.
  2. Empty any remaining water from the tank.
  3. Store the steam mop in a dry, safe place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
