1. Introduction
The Bugera V55 INFINIUM is a hand-built 55-watt vintage-style guitar combo amplifier, designed to deliver classic tube tones. It features a 2-channel preamp, a 12-inch TURBOSOUND speaker, and Bugera's revolutionary INFINIUM Tube Life Multiplier technology, which extends the lifespan of the power tubes and provides individual LED indicators for monitoring tube health.

2. Setup
2.1 Unpacking
Carefully remove the amplifier from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage that may have occurred during transit. Retain the packaging for future transport or storage.
2.2 Power Connection
Connect the supplied power cable to the AC input on the rear panel of the amplifier and then to a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the amplifier's power switch is in the OFF position before connecting to power.
2.3 Instrument Connection
Connect your guitar or other instrument to one of the INPUTS jacks on the front panel using a high-quality instrument cable. The 'Normal' input provides standard sensitivity, while the 'Bright' input offers increased treble response.
2.4 External Speaker Connection
The V55 INFINIUM is equipped with an internal 12-inch TURBOSOUND speaker. If you wish to connect an external speaker cabinet, ensure its impedance matches the amplifier's output impedance (typically 8 Ohms). Disconnect the internal speaker if connecting an external cabinet to the main speaker output. Refer to the rear panel for speaker output jacks and impedance settings.

3. Operating Controls
3.1 Front Panel Controls
- INPUTS (Normal/Bright): Connect your instrument here. 'Normal' provides a standard input, while 'Bright' offers enhanced high frequencies.
- CLEAN Channel: Controls for the clean channel.
- VOLUME: Adjusts the output level of the clean channel.
- GAIN Channel: Controls for the overdrive/gain channel.
- GAIN: Adjusts the amount of overdrive/distortion.
- VOLUME: Adjusts the output level of the gain channel.
- EQUALIZATION (BASS, MID, TREBLE): Tone controls to shape the amplifier's frequency response.
- MASTER: Overall output volume control for the amplifier.
- PRESENCE: Adds high-end sparkle and definition to the overall sound.
- REVERB: Controls the amount of built-in digital reverb effect.
- STANDBY Switch: Engages standby mode, allowing tubes to warm up or cool down without signal passing through. Always use this switch when powering on or off.
- POWER Switch: Turns the amplifier's main power ON or OFF.

3.2 Rear Panel Controls and Connections
- MODE (TRIODE/PENTODE) Switch: Selects between Triode mode (lower output, warmer tone) and Pentode mode (full output, brighter tone).
- SPEAKER OUTPUTS: Jacks for connecting external speaker cabinets. Ensure correct impedance matching.
- FOOTSWITCH Input: Connect the optional dual footswitch (included) to switch between channels and activate/deactivate reverb.
- EFFECTS LOOP (SEND/RETURN): Allows connection of external effects pedals or processors.

4. INFINIUM Tube Life Multiplier Technology
The Bugera V55 INFINIUM incorporates proprietary INFINIUM Tube Life Multiplier technology. This system continuously monitors the performance of each power tube (6L6) and dynamically balances the drive between them to ensure optimal operation and significantly extend their lifespan. Individual LED indicators on the rear panel illuminate when a tube is nearing the end of its life, allowing for timely replacement without guesswork.

5. Maintenance
5.1 General Care
- Keep the amplifier clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure adequate ventilation around the amplifier to prevent overheating.
- Avoid exposing the amplifier to moisture, extreme temperatures, or direct sunlight.
- Transport the amplifier carefully to prevent damage to the tubes and internal components.
5.2 Tube Replacement
The INFINIUM technology provides individual LED indicators for the power tubes on the rear panel. When an LED illuminates, it indicates that the corresponding tube is failing and requires replacement. Always replace tubes with the same type (6L6 for power tubes, 12AX7 for preamp tubes) and ensure the amplifier is powered off and unplugged before attempting replacement. Consult a qualified technician if you are unsure about tube replacement procedures.
6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No sound output | Power cable disconnected; Standby switch engaged; Instrument cable faulty; Speaker not connected or faulty; Volume controls set to zero. | Check power and instrument cables; Disengage Standby; Ensure speaker is connected and functional; Increase volume controls. |
| Weak or distorted sound | Failing tubes; Incorrect impedance matching for external speaker; Faulty instrument cable or pedal. | Check INFINIUM LEDs for failing tubes; Verify speaker impedance; Test with different cables/pedals. |
| Hum or noise | Ground loop; Faulty cables; Proximity to other electronic devices; Damaged tubes. | Ensure proper grounding; Use shielded cables; Move away from interference sources; Check INFINIUM LEDs. |
| INFINIUM LED illuminated | Power tube nearing end of life. | Replace the indicated power tube. Refer to Section 5.2. |
