Setup and Installation
Attaching the Adapter to the Lens
1. Align the red dot on the adapter with the red dot on your Canon FD/FL lens. Rotate the lens clockwise until it clicks into place, ensuring a secure fit.
2. For lenses with an aperture ring, ensure the aperture control pin on the adapter aligns with the lens mechanism. The adapter features a "LOCK <-> OPEN" ring for aperture control. Set this to "LOCK" when mounting the lens.

Operating Instructions
Manual Focus
Since this is a manual adapter, autofocus functions are not supported. Focus your lens manually using the lens's focus ring. Utilize your camera's focus peaking or magnification features for precise focusing.
Note on Infinity Focus: The infinity focus position on some telephoto or super telephoto lenses may shift slightly to the positive side due to temperature changes. The shift range is indicated by an L-shaped line on some lenses. Always verify focus through the viewfinder, even when attempting to focus at infinity.
Manual Aperture Control
The adapter allows for manual control of the lens diaphragm. Set your Canon FD/FL lens to its smallest aperture (e.g., f/16) and to "A" mode if available. Then, use the "LOCK <-> OPEN" ring on the adapter to smoothly adjust the aperture. The "OPEN" position allows for wide-open focusing, while rotating towards "LOCK" stops down the aperture for exposure.

Care and Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your K&F Concept lens mount adapter, follow these guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a clean, dry microfiber cloth to wipe the exterior of the adapter. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Storage: Store the adapter in a dry, dust-free environment when not in use. Keep both ends capped to prevent dust and debris from entering.
- Handling: Always handle the adapter by its body. Avoid touching the mounting surfaces to prevent oils and dirt from affecting the connection.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the adapter for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure the mounting surfaces are smooth and free of obstructions.
Troubleshooting
Lens or Adapter Not Mounting Securely
Ensure that both the lens and camera mounts are clean and free of debris. Align the red dots precisely and rotate until a click is heard, indicating a secure lock. Do not force the adapter or lens into place.
Difficulty Achieving Infinity Focus
While the adapter is designed to allow infinity focus, some lenses, particularly wide-angle ones, may exhibit slight overshooting past the infinity mark. Use your camera's focus peaking or magnification features to confirm sharp focus at infinity, rather than relying solely on the lens's distance scale.
Aperture Control Issues
Verify that your Canon FD/FL lens is set to its smallest aperture and, if applicable, to "A" mode. Ensure the "LOCK <-> OPEN" ring on the adapter is correctly engaged and rotated to control the aperture. If the aperture ring feels stiff, ensure no debris is obstructing its movement.
