Setup Instructions

  1. Prepare the Stand Mixer: Ensure your KitchenAid Stand Mixer is unplugged and the power hub cover is removed. The power hub is located on the front of the mixer head.
  2. Attach the Food Processor: Insert the attachment shaft into the power hub, ensuring the shaft aligns with the square drive socket. Tighten the attachment knob clockwise until the attachment is securely fastened to the mixer.
  3. Select and Install Disc: Choose the desired disc (slicing, shredding, or julienne) or assemble the dicing kit. Carefully place the disc onto the drive shaft inside the food processor bowl. Ensure it sits correctly and is stable.
  4. Secure the Lid: Place the food processor lid onto the bowl, aligning the lid tab with the slot on the bowl. Twist the lid clockwise until it locks into place. The food chute should be positioned at the top.
  5. Position Food Pusher: Insert the food pusher into the food chute. This will be used to guide ingredients through the disc.
  6. Place Receiving Bowl: Position a large bowl or container directly underneath the food processor's output chute to collect processed ingredients.

  2. Adjust Slicing Thickness (if applicable): If using the slicing disc, use the ExactSlice system's external adjustable slicing lever to select your desired thickness (from thick to thin).
  3. Power On: Plug in your KitchenAid Stand Mixer. Turn the mixer to the recommended speed setting for food processing (typically speed 4-6 for most tasks, refer to your mixer's manual for specific recommendations).
  4. Feed Ingredients: Slowly feed ingredients into the food chute. Use the food pusher to gently guide them through the disc. Do not force ingredients through.
  5. Monitor Output: Process ingredients until the desired quantity is achieved. Turn off the mixer and unplug it before removing the attachment or processed food.
