Physical Features:
- Display: 4.5-inch ClearBlack, IPS LCD (480x854 resolution, 221 ppi)
- Camera: 5.0 MP rear camera with 720p HD video and autofocus. Note: This model does not feature a front-facing camera.
- Buttons: Volume rocker, Power/Lock button.

Setup
1. Installing the SIM Card and MicroSD Card
The Nokia Lumia 635 supports a removable back cover for accessing the battery, SIM card slot, and microSD card slot.
- Carefully remove the back cover of the phone. You may need to gently pry it open from a designated notch.
- If the battery is installed, remove it by lifting it from the bottom edge.
- Locate the SIM card slot(s) and the microSD card slot. Insert your AT&T Go Phone SIM card into the designated slot, ensuring the gold contacts face downwards and the cut corner aligns correctly.
- If desired, insert a microSD card into its slot for expanded storage (up to 128 GB supported).
- Reinsert the battery, aligning the contacts.
- Replace the back cover, pressing firmly until it clicks into place.
2. Charging the Battery
Before first use, fully charge your phone's battery.
- Connect the data cable to the Micro USB port at the bottom of your phone.
- Connect the other end of the data cable to the power adapter.
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
- The battery indicator on the screen will show charging status. Once fully charged, disconnect the charger.
3. Initial Power On
Press and hold the Power/Lock button on the side of the phone until the Nokia logo appears. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the initial setup, including language selection, time zone, and Wi-Fi connection.
Operating Your Phone
Windows Phone 8.1 Interface
The Nokia Lumia 635 runs on Windows Phone 8.1, featuring a Live Tile interface. Live Tiles display real-time information and updates directly on your home screen.
Making Calls and Sending Messages
- To make a call, tap the Phone tile, then enter the number using the keypad or select a contact from your address book.
- To send a text message, tap the Messaging tile, select a contact, and type your message.
Using the Camera
Your phone is equipped with a 5.0 MP camera capable of 720p HD video recording.
- Tap the Lumia Camera tile to open the camera application.
- Frame your shot on the screen.
- Tap the on-screen shutter button to take a photo.
- To switch to video mode, look for the video icon within the camera app.
Cortana Digital Assistant
Cortana is your personal digital assistant. To activate Cortana, press and hold the Search button (magnifying glass icon) on the navigation bar. You can ask Cortana questions, set reminders, get news updates, and more.

Maintenance
- Keep your device dry. Precipitation, humidity, and all types of liquids or moisture can contain minerals that will corrode electronic circuits.

- Poor signal reception: Check your location for network coverage. If indoors, try moving closer to a window. Ensure your SIM card is correctly inserted.

- Battery draining quickly: Reduce screen brightness, close unused apps running in the background, and disable unnecessary connectivity features like Wi-Fi or GPS when not in use.
- Storage full: Delete unnecessary files, photos, or videos. Move media to a microSD card if installed. Uninstall unused applications.
