Setup & Installation
Important: Installation should only be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local regulations and safety standards. Ensure power is disconnected before beginning any installation work.
1. Mounting
The Uponor T-26 thermostat is designed for flush-mounted installation. Choose a suitable location on an interior wall, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources that could affect temperature readings.

Figure 1: Uponor T-26 Thermostat with approximate dimensions (11cm height, 7cm width, 10cm depth).
The thermostat dimensions are approximately 11 cm (height) x 7 cm (width) x 10 cm (depth). Ensure adequate space within the wall box for wiring.
2. Wiring
The thermostat requires a 230V power supply from a compatible Uponor base unit or control module (e.g., Uponor Control Module X-23). The wire connection is designed for 7 x 1.5 mm² cables, with a maximum cable length of 100 meters.
- Carefully open the thermostat casing to access the wiring terminals.
- Connect the 230V power supply wires to the designated terminals.
- If using an optional floor or remote sensor, connect its wires to the appropriate sensor terminals.
- Connect the output wires to your heating system's control module as per the system's wiring diagram.
- Ensure all connections are secure and correctly insulated.

Refer to the detailed wiring diagram provided with your Uponor heating system's control module for specific terminal assignments.
3. Initial Power-up
Once all wiring is complete and the casing is securely closed, restore power to the heating system. The thermostat display should illuminate, indicating it is powered on. Follow the on-screen prompts for initial setup, such as language selection and time/date settings.
Operating Instructions

Figure 3: Front view of the Uponor T-26 Thermostat, showing the display and control buttons.
The Uponor T-26 features a clear digital display and intuitive button controls for easy operation.
1. Basic Navigation and Temperature Setting
- Use the Up and Down arrow buttons (typically located on the right side of the control panel) to adjust the desired temperature.
- The current room temperature and the setpoint temperature will be displayed.
- Press the Mode button (often labeled with an 'M' or similar icon) to cycle through different operating modes (e.g., Auto, Manual, Holiday).
2. Programming Heating Schedules
The thermostat allows for detailed programming of heating times to match your daily routine. You can set up to four heating periods per day.
- Press the Program button (often labeled with a clock icon or 'P') to enter programming mode.
- Select the day(s) you wish to program (e.g., Mon-Fri, Sat-Sun, or individual days).
- For each of the four periods, set the desired start time and temperature.
- Confirm each setting before moving to the next period or day.
- Exit programming mode to save changes.
3. Holiday Mode
Activate Holiday Mode when you are away for an extended period to save energy. In this mode, the thermostat maintains a lower, energy-saving temperature until your return date.
- Access Holiday Mode through the Mode button or a dedicated Holiday button.
- Set the start and end dates for your holiday period.
- Confirm the settings. The thermostat will automatically return to its normal schedule after the holiday period.
4. Warm-up Optimization (Optimized Start)
This feature ensures your room reaches the desired temperature precisely at the programmed time. The thermostat learns how long it takes to warm up your space and activates the heating system in advance.
- This function is typically enabled by default. Check the thermostat's advanced settings menu to confirm or adjust.
5. Tamper-Proof Lock Function
To prevent unauthorized changes to settings, the thermostat can be locked.
- Refer to your thermostat's specific menu for instructions on activating and deactivating the lock function, which usually involves a combination of button presses.
Maintenance
The Uponor T-26 thermostat requires minimal maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Cleaning: Gently wipe the display and casing with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the plastic and electronic components.
- Avoid Obstructions: Ensure that the thermostat is not covered by furniture, curtains, or other objects that could obstruct airflow and affect accurate temperature readings.
- No User-Serviceable Parts: The thermostat contains no user-serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open or repair the unit yourself. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your Uponor T-26 thermostat, try the following basic troubleshooting steps:
- No Display/No Power:
- Check the main power supply to the heating system and the thermostat's base unit.
- Ensure all wiring connections are secure.
- Incorrect Temperature Reading:
- Verify that the thermostat is not exposed to direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources.
- Ensure the air vents on the thermostat casing are not blocked.
- If an external sensor is used, check its connection and placement.
- Heating Not Responding:
- Check if the thermostat is in the correct operating mode (e.g., not in Holiday Mode or Off).
- Ensure the setpoint temperature is higher than the current room temperature.
- Verify that the heating system's main control unit is functioning correctly.
- Settings Not Saving:
- Ensure you are correctly exiting the programming menu to save changes.
- Check if the tamper-proof lock function is active.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please contact Uponor customer support or a qualified technician.
