  • Do not use attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.

4. Setup

  1. Prepare the Mixer: Ensure the mixer is unplugged and placed on a dry, stable surface.
  2. Secure the Mixing Bowl: Place the 3-quart stainless steel mixing bowl onto the rotating plate. Hold the rotating plate in place and turn the mixing bowl clockwise until it locks securely into position.
  3. Tilt the Motor Head: Hold down the 'TILT' release button located on the side of the mixer and gently push the motor head upwards until it locks into the tilted position.
  4. Insert Beaters or Dough Hooks: Select the appropriate attachments for your recipe (beaters for liquid mixtures, dough hooks for non-liquid mixtures). Insert the right and left attachments into the corresponding slots on the underside of the motor head until they click into place. The right beater/dough hook has an extra disk for proper alignment.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Add Ingredients: Place your ingredients into the stainless steel mixing bowl. Do not overfill the bowl beyond its maximum capacity.
  2. Plug In: Plug the mixer's power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. Select Speed: Use the speed control switch (0-6) located on the side of the motor head to select your desired mixing speed. Start with a lower speed and gradually increase as needed.
  4. Utilize Bowl Shift Lever: For thorough mixing, especially with thicker batters, use the bowl shift lever located at the front of the base. Push it down to slide the bowl from left to right, ensuring all ingredients are incorporated.
  5. Monitor Mixing: Observe the mixing process. The mixer's 250-watt motor and 6 speeds allow for efficient beating, creaming, kneading, and whipping.
  6. Finish Mixing: Once mixing is complete, shift the speed control to '0' (off) and unplug the mixer from the outlet.

6. Attachments

The DASH Stand Mixer comes with two types of attachments:

  • Mixer Beaters: Ideal for liquid mixtures such as frosting, meringues, and creamy dressings.
  • Dough Hooks: Designed for non-liquid mixtures and lighter doughs, such as pancake batter or cookie dough. Not recommended for high-gluten doughs that require extensive kneading.

Ensure that the right beater/dough hook (with the extra disk) is inserted into the 'R' slot and the left into the 'L' slot for proper operation. Beater and hook pairs must be used together and should not be mixed.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance

  1. Unplug: Always unplug the mixer from the power outlet before cleaning.
  2. Remove Attachments: Tilt the motor head upwards and press the 'EJECT' button on top of the mixer to release the beaters or dough hooks.
  3. Remove Mixing Bowl: Turn the mixing bowl counter-clockwise until it detaches from the main base.
  4. Wash Non-Electric Parts: The stainless steel mixing bowl, beaters, and dough hooks are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, wash them in warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
  5. Clean Main Unit: Wipe down the main mixer base with a damp dish cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water.
  6. Dry and Store: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing the mixer.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Mixer does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet and the speed control is set to a position other than '0'.
  • Attachments do not mix properly: Verify that the correct attachments are fully inserted and locked into place. Use the bowl shift lever to adjust the bowl's position for optimal mixing.
  • Bowl does not spin: The mixing bowl is designed to rotate as the beaters operate. If it does not spin automatically, you may need to manually spin the bowl to initiate rotation, especially with lighter mixtures.
  • Motor overheats: Avoid running the mixer on high speed for more than 10 minutes continuously. Allow the mixer to cool down if it feels warm.
